An easy how-to guide for joining the War on Carbs, losing body fat and gaining mental clarity. In this book, Mark Bell gives you what to eat, how to avoid pitfalls and keys to success for changing your lifestyle for the better. This is not your typical ketogenic-style diet. We say goodbye to disastrous cheat days and ask that you take a stronger stance against bad habits. The War on Carbs promotes a metabolic reset so you don’t have to spend the rest of your life without any carbohydrates. It helps build will power and promotes sound physical health, which make it easier to resist falling back into your old fatty habits. This book also includes a Performance Enhancing Diet for athletes that is based on a ketogenic-style diet but incorporates carbohydrates to keep the athlete nutritionally charged for athletic performance. “This is the best nutrition book I’ve ever written.” – Mark Bell Available Fire Tablets Kindle Fire HDX 8.9'' Kindle Fire HDX Kindle Fire HD (3rd Generation) Fire HDX 8.9 Tablet Fire HD 7 Tablet Fire HD 6 Tablet Kindle Fire HD 8.9" Kindle Fire HD(1st Generation) Kindle Fire(2nd Generation) Kindle Fire(1st Generation) Fire HD 10 Fire HD 8 Fire Free Kindle Reading Apps Kindle for Android Phones Kindle for Android Tablets Kindle for iPhone Kindle for iPod Touch Kindle for iPad Kindle for Mac Kindle for PC
I've been a fan of Mark Bell for many years, and I was excited about this book. It is a quick read, but worth it. No matter what your feelings are on Keto, and low carb dieting in general this book is a good read. He offer practical no nonsense advice based off of his experiences. He makes it clear that this book is a tool/strategy for you to use and to help you on your journey. I recommend this for anyone interested in nutrition, diet, or that is just a fan of Mark's
Really good read for getting started without nitpicking every single detail. Spins keto in a way that people with a busy life style don’t have to spend more time than needed to get the information and implement it.
It would be nice if it came with a recipe companion book, however he does give sources for good websites with a variety of recipes.
For investing in your self this is the most cost effective bang for your buck book out there on Keto.
Mark has been in the fitness spotlight for quite a few years now. We have seen his struggles with carbs. Now he has shown us how he was finally able to “Win the War on Carbs”. It is written like Mark is talking directly to you. Very simple and easy to understand. I’d recommend this book to anyone that struggles with carbs and especially beginners to the low carb lifestyle.
I look up to Mark Bell and thought it was interesting he did a keto diet at one point. There really isn’t much information in here though that isn’t in the more informative books on keto. I’d have like to see more numbers and association with keto and lifting but as said in the book, he’s got other books on lifting. It’s a quick read and free on kindle unlimited but it’s not something I would purchase.
The book is short and to the point, just as it should be. It doesn't necessarily go deep into the science and explain the how's and why's, but instead just says do this and be accountable.
I've watched and listened to Mark Bell for over 2 years now, he's smart and passionate about being strong and healthy. "Strength is never a weakness and weakness is never a strength" Mark Bell
