The author selects some of the most requested poems from her own work, grouped under such headings as "Think About People," "Suddenly," and "Whoever Planned the World."

This book arrived in the mail for me today. Did I order it? If so, why? I don't have any record of having paid for it... (Never to look a gift-horse in the mouth, I read the collection.)
Always Wondering is a collection of poems organized around four themes: Think about People, Suddenly, Such Things as These, and Whoever Planned the World. The poems have strong rhymes and tend to be fairly sentimental. Although I wouldn't recommend the book as a collection, I did find one or two poems that I loved. Here's one:
Growing Up/When I grow up/(as everyone does)/what will become/ of the ME I was?
A sweet little book of children's poetry, one that I enjoyed just reading for myself. None of the poems were particularly breathtaking, but I can see my girls enjoying them.
Update, 5/10/22:
We read through Always Wondering during Morning Time, and the girls enjoyed Fisher's poems. They are written at a great level for emerging readers, so the twins got to take turns doing the reading some days, which is an exciting Morning Time milestone.
