A.M. (or Autumn) Hardin was born and raised in Holland, Michigan. She's married with three girls. Her favorite books always depends on her mood, though her tastes are very eclectic. As long as it's romance there's a high chance she has or plans to read it. When she doesn't have a book in her hand or spending time with her family she can be found writing in either a notebook or on her computer.
It is unfortunate that the first book would appear to have been thrust out in a rush, as this novel benefitted from considerably more finessing than the last, and this has contributed to the higher rating. Mercy continues to develop the depths of relationship she has with the guys as the story gathers more momentum keeping up the pace and moving on inexorably to fulfil elements of the phrophecy.
I’m looking foward to book three and more of Mercy’s guts and garters.
I’m sorry but I am not going to give you any spoilers of any kind because I am not the type of person that does that! So all I am going to say about this story is it’s so freaking amazing and I’m just going to leave it at that because I really don’t have the right words to describe this book at all. The constant building and releasing kept me sitting on the edge of my seat all throughout this whole entire book! But that cliffhanger was brutal because the story was building itself up again only to leave me hanging on the edge waiting for another release which unfortunately I was denied. I can not wait until the next book because I have to know what happens to Mercy and her guys! Yes I do recommend this book for anyone who’s interested in crawling into this story and getting themselves lost within its pages. But be warned there is a cliffhanger so the story isn’t finished yet.
I read this all in one sitting and loved it. It was fast paced and had some good steam. Mercy gets closer to more of her guys and meets Parker's family, who, aside from the sister, are horrible. Satan also makes an appearance at the beginning and end of the book and I LOVED him. He is an ass, but kind of funny. I can't wait to find out what happens next, especially because of that cliffhanger. Seriously, that cliffhanger sucked. Mercy is going to need some recovery time after that.
Ooh book two continues where book one finishes and the excitement just keeps growing, action packed from start to finish, we see Mercy’s relationships with the guys grow, she becomes stronger and it seems even more people want to kill her! I need book three ASAP
Great new installment to this paranormal reverse harem series. We go further into Mercy's world now as the secrets start unfolding changing everything that she thought she knew. Add in some danger and an enemy to get a story that is hard to put down once you get started. If you enjoyed book one of course you have to read this one. I cannot wait to see how this all ends. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
I was captivated by Mercy and her men in book one. This second book didn't disappoint either. I rated it lower for the fact that I believe it was slow. There's was a lot of great action in book one, where this book felt like filler and of Mercy and her group just hiding. We do however get to know her men better. They start to open up more which is huge. We see Talon's softer side and even get to briefly meet his cat. We find out about Hunter's demon. War, our incubus, was big in book one, but was sadly slightly absent in this one. Kai, our witch, is also one we haven't been able to get to know either. The focus was Parker, our vampire, and his family. For Mercy and her group visit their home for protection. Parker's parents are hostile and crazy. Both are instantly hated. Torn, hunter's brother, is the main villain in this book with Payne locked away. Book two picked up right where the first one left off, and we even get a surprise in the beginning of the book, but sadly not much is touched on it. We learn more about an old seer's prophecy/vision and how it will effect Mercy. And the last bit of this book plays accordingly with the prophecy. I though it was a good second book, not as page turning as the first, but an overall good read and continuation of the series.
I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review!
I couldn’t wait to get back into this world and to get back to mercy and her protectors!!
I just love mercy’s personality: her sassy comments, her ability to stay strong no matter what life or prophecies throw her way and to just simply be a kick-ass woman!!
As we go deeper into the story we learn more about what is ahead of Mercy and the men surrounding her. We also learn more about the men which helps understanding them better. In addition Mercy gets even closer to the boys and starts to accept her feelings for all of them!
I also loved the addition of Parker’s Sister Farrah! I hope she will be a part of the next installment because she fit well into the group dynamic and as Mercy’s friend!
Just a heads up: that ending though!!! Another cliffhanger awaits the reader!! I mean my god, I cannot believe it ended that way and that I now have to patiently wait for the next book to know how the story unfolds!!
Well done again A.M. Hardin! Another great read that kept me entertained throughout the whole book! You are amazing!
Great follow-up book in the Mercy Ashby series! I devoured this book almost in one sitting, I couldn't stop reading it haha. I loved that we got to learn more about Mercy and her guys, as well as the families of the characters, hope we see more of Fare because she was awesome!! Love the twist with Payne's prisoners and the following scenes after that (made me giggle and smile a lot haha). I cant decide which guy I like the best, because it was definitely War in Book 1 and I think Talon and Kai are giving him a run for their money. Also love Hunter and Parker....gahhh thank goodness for #whychoose and this genre ❤️
There is a tad of a cliffhanger at the end FYI, but you kinda knew it was coming at some point, based on things mentioned in the beginning of this book. I still was not happy with how it lead to there, didn't see that betrayal or aftermath coming. Cannot wait for Book 3 in a couple months, definitely loving everything coming from AM Hardin!
Oh Man this series is so good so far! Mercy is figuring out who she is and what her destiny is along with the guys. As her power steadily grows so do her enemies. Hunter's brother thorn is still out to get her. She meets some of the guy's families, not all are particularly receptive to a half-demon. They are all still learning what all Mercy is capable of as her powers grow. Also I love Farrah, she is kind of awesome too. I absolutely was not expecting that ending though! Now I can't wait to find out what will happen with Mercy and the guys especially with the twist thrown in in the last chapter or so! Such a great second book! I can't wait for book 3!
I really like this series so far! I feel so bad for Mercy she can’t catch a break. I love the addition of Parker’s sister and hopefully she will be a friend in the future. You get to know the guys a little more in this one especially Parker and his crazy parents. The storyline has lots of action and the ending had a great cliffhanger that leaves you needing more. Overall great book.
Mercy's story continues with Mercy's story. Confusing? At the end of book 1 Hunter's dad was going to tell Mercy why everyone wants her for their own and that's where book 2 starts.
Lots of connecting with the guys and we learn some things are set in stone. I think book 3 is aptly named now that I know what lies ahead. I can't wait for Mercy's Battle!
This is an amazing read. Poor Mercy can't catch a break. I love how hard all of the guys are fighting for her. They realize some things can't be controlled and must be ready with an answer to the next problem. I love Mercy's attitude and spunk. I can't believe the cliffhanger and am dying for the next book.
Part 2 of the Mercy series and it is very good. We got to know some of the characters more in this book and it had some action and an ending that had my mouth open. I would have given this 5 stars but I felt that it could have been more like the first book. I definately will read the next book in this series.
I think I liked this book better than the first one. Mercy is kinda sassy but she is strong. There is so much going on in this book. There is jealousy and tension and I love it! I am bk ot very surprised at what went down at the end but I am a bit happy at what Hunters dad had to say. Now, I need more Mercy!
This is a great continuation of the story of Mercy. With prophesies, reunions, and a surprise ending that will leave you with questions and begging for more, this is a series I would continue to recommend everyone to purchase. Why wait? Purchase this book now so you won't regret it later.
Ok, sooo... Parkers mom is a very naughty word. Farrah is awesome, but I predict(hope) we see more from her. Torn, well, hes a lot more intelligent than his crazy gave him credit for. Like wow. Super smart. Mercy clearly has a lot to handle in this book. And so do her men. So good.
This is book 2 and you really need to read 1 to be sure you won't be lost while reading this one. It starts exactly where 1 leaves. Drama and excitement fill the pages. The reverse Harem aspect is cemented in this book between an un merciful Mercy and her team of protectors but they aren't the only ones who want Mercy for themselves.
Mercy's Destiny picks up where book 1 left off. Mercy continues to form her connection with her guys while on the run. The writing in this book was superb and the story is breathtaking. My only complaint is having to wait for the next one!
Wow!!! Oh the cliffhanger!!! Another awesome story by A.M. Hardin. This is the second book in the Mercy series. Must read in order. If you love reverse harem with a kick ass heroin this is the book to read. Can't wait for book 3!!!
Amazing book! The only thing I will say is that the relationship between Mercy and Talon confused me. We didn't get much development explained. Besides that amazing and that ending though!
I enjoyed this book so much. We get to follow Mercy and her guys as the continue to find out why Mercy is such a hot commodity. I'm this one we get to see Mercy deal with bright vampires. Parker really steps up in this book. Can't wait for the next book to come out!
