Olivia Gilmour, usually known as Liv, is an identical twin to Eliza. When Eliza, asks Liv to take her place at work as office manager for Lord Sebastian Tyrell, so she can sort out a serious matter, it sounds a harmless substitution. He is supposed to be away anyway, so where is the harm? That is until someone leaves a baby in his office with a note demanding Sebastian take responsibility for the baby. Liv has no option other than to let Sebastian know. Sebastian’s return sparks complications Liv had not counted on. And there is baby Jemima who needs help. They need to find the baby’s mother and why the baby was left in Sebastian’s office. Attraction that flares between Liv and Liz’s boss complicates matters further. Liv also recovers something she thought she had lost and that added another dimension to the story.
This was a cute, easy read, light and just right for this time of year. It is a romance but the addition of the baby and search for her mother makes this more than just a romance. Sebastian is also a caring man, unlike his selfish parents who care for no one but themselves. The back story about Sebastian explains a lot about the way he reacts to lies and deceit.
Warm and engaging I enjoyed this story, even though Mills and Boon type romance is not usually my preferred read. Enjoyable characters, story line and I appreciated some of the ideas presented.
The copy I read had the baby on the cover as per the Kindle edition, which is why along with the title I picked it up. A recommended feel good read.

A wonderfully enjoyable, poignant and uplifting contemporary romance that has charm by the bucket-load, A Baby in His In-Tray is a fantastic tale that ticks all the right boxes and delivers on all counts.

When Liv Gilmour had agreed to step in for her identical twin sister Eliza for a week at her place of work, Liv had no qualms about agreeing. After all – according to Eliza – her boss, Lord Sebastian Tyrell, was hardly ever at the office and she could easily replace her twin for a week and nobody would be none the wiser. With her sister in Turkey sorting out her love life, Liv is looking forward to a serene week working at the Tyrell Foundation, but all her best laid plans go awry when she finds a baby on her desk! Liv does not know the first thing about babies, but the one thing she knows she must do is inform Sebastian that somebody has left a baby in his office with a note asking specifically for him. Liv knows that she must keep her cool and not arouse Sebastian’s suspicion that she is stepping in for her sister. However, Eliza has omitted to tell her just how dangerously attractive her boss is!

Blue-blooded Sebastian might be descended from one of England’s most noble families, but the hotshot business man would rather hide in his remote estate in Lincolnshire than spend one single moment in the company of his selfish and amoral parents. After the devastating betrayal of his former girlfriend, Sebastian had decided that relationships are strictly not on the agenda for him and he had instead opted to put all of his heart, time, energy and effort into his charitable foundation. When his officer manager Eliza calls him telling him about the abandoned baby in his office, Sebastian finds himself with no other choice but to leave the British countryside behind for London where, on arrival, he finds himself strangely intrigued by Eliza, who seems familiar yet different somehow…

Baby Jemima needs all the love and support which Sebastian and Liv can give her, however, they both find themselves troubled by an irresistible attraction which simply cannot be denied! As their feelings for one another intensify, Sebastian and Liv realise that they have fallen head over heels in love with one another, but there is a catch: Sebastian doesn’t know that the woman he is crazy about has not been completely honest about her identity…

Is a future for Sebastian and Liv possible? Will Sebastian be able to forgive Liv for lying to him? Or is their love simply not meant to be?

In A Baby in His In-Tray, talented author Michelle Douglas imbues her narrative with delicious humour, searing emotion and uplifting romance. A book that is a joy to read from beginning to end, A Baby in His In-Tray is a spellbinding tale about learning to love, finding the courage to strive for happiness and healing from the past that will make readers laugh and cry.

Liv was a wonderful heroine with a positive attitude and an infectious joie de vivre and gorgeous Sebastian was a strong, sensitive and charismatic hero readers are going to adore!

A fantastic read that is absolutely impossible to put down, A Baby in His In-Tray is another Michelle Douglas romance heading straight for my keeper shelf!

This is a gorgeous romance I savoured every word, it is so beautifully written, the hero and heroine are such awesome people and so deserve to be happy and together and MS Douglas joined them in a beautiful story that you will not want to put down this is a must read for any romance readers who want to be left smiling.

Olivia (Liv) Gilmore loves her twin sister and will do anything for her, so when Eliza (Liz) asks Liv to take her place as PA for The Tyrell Foundation of course she says yes never realizing that this one week will turn into two weeks and change her life forever when a baby is left on her desk. Her boss Lord Sebastian Tyrell is away and there should not have been a problem but a baby will bring them together and Liv will lose her heart to the gorgeous man who has been hurt before.

Sebastian keeps to himself he works hard and is a loner he is estranged from his parents, but when his PA phones him and tells him that a baby has been left on the desk with a note to say that he is to care for Jemima, he rushes home to stop any scandal he has a few ideas about this baby and her parentage and aims to get to the bottom of the problem. He doesn’t count on his normally staid and serious PA being so open and helpful with the baby, but when Liz steps in as nanny well emotions and feelings that he packed away a long time ago are coming out.

Liv would have to be one of the best heroines that I have met she is gorgeous in every way and the help that she gives to Seb will have you smiling and seeing Liv open up is fantastic and Seb wow he has been so badly hurt that smiling and having a good time doesn’t come easy and keeping secrets from him makes it even harder but Liv gets him there so beautifully. I loved, loved this story and can highly recommend it, once you pick this one up you are not going to want to put it down. Thank you MS Douglas this one rocks its a keeper.

A delightful read! With a different take on a surprise baby story, Michelle Douglas takes us on a journey of surprise and discovery as they slowly fall in love and work through this mysterious baby situation. The characters are really easy to like and fall under the spell of their story. The plot had a few unexpected turns that kept it interesting, and despite dragging in a few places was a really enjoyable playground towards their happy ending!

When Olivia Gilmour's twin sister Eliza needs a huge favor, Liv can't say no to her. She has to swap places with Liz at her job for a week ... but it won't be a big deal because the boss is away! A surprise baby left on her desk changes things up drastically, and soon the boss is on his way home, and she ends up working side by side with him to take care of this innocent little one ... and try to figure out who the mother is!

Sebastian Tyrrell has never felt an attraction towards his employee Eliza before, but when he returns home to this baby snafu, he's instantly smitten! What is going on? Why does it feel so different with her now? And why does playing house with this baby alongside her feel so right?

A BABY IN HIS IN-TRAY by Michelle Douglas

Liz and Liv are identical twins, Liz works for Lord Sebastian Tyrrell. Now Liz has begged her twin sister Liv to take her place at work for a week. How hard can that be?? But an unexpected occurrences leaves her wishing she had not agreed to change places with her sister,,
Sebastian is supposed to be gone the week however he shows back up and so now she has to contend with him and the other unexpected and unexplained baby whom she found in her in tray on her desk.
Now to find out who’s baby it really is. Sebastian and Liv (whom he believes is his office manager) set about to discover who the baby is and whom the mother of the baby is.
The only note with the baby was one of demanding Sebastian take care of it.
Sebastian’s parents were something else. His father cheated and there was some children out there that he had fathered. Could this be one of them?
Michelle Douglas keeps the mystery going and as she told the story it made you feel as thought you were right there next to them.
Follow the path to find out the true identity of the baby and if Liv is discovered to not be Liz.

Olivia and Eliza Gilmour are identical twins who will always be there for each other, so when Eliza needs Olivia to cover her job its a done deal. Not a problem to be Sebastian Tyrrell pa for a short time, especially since he won't be around and will never know he has the wrong twin working for him. Best laid plans aren't always foolproof especially when Liv finds a baby on her desk with a note for Seb. With no options she calls him and he returns notices a few things different about her but not enough to give the ghost up. Sebastian is estranged from his family and a lot of what they have said to him over time has made him a very lonely, distant person. Depending on Liv and trying to find out about the baby starts to break down the shell around him. What happens when he finds out the deception? not telling because this is a story that you will savor so no spoilers. Ms. Douglas always delivers wonderful stories and this is an exceptional one and the title is so adorable. A keeper.

A BABY IN HIS IN-TRAY by author Michelle Douglas is a March 2018 release by Harlequin Romance series.

Olivia Gilmour was only supposed to do office duties when she agreed to swap places with her identical twin sister while her boss was away. And it was only supposed to be for a few days as her sister sorted out some personal problems of her own.

But then someone abandoned a baby on her desk. After which she had to call the boss, Sebastian Tyrrell in. And she had to go in an impromptu nanny mode to help look after the baby. With Sebastian as her co- helper. But what would happen when Seb find out about her secret?

A BABY IN HIS IN-TRAY is a thrilling romance as well as an abandoned baby mystery. The story hooked me right from the beginning and kept me on the edge wanting to know how it all ends. Author Michelle Douglas brought to live this tale which would grip a reader and keep her hooked till the end.

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

Wow. As someone who has been reading romance for a while I normally can pick the twists before they happen. This book was a nice change as every single twist was a surprise to me. It was great to see so many people, not just the main characters Olivia and Sebastian, get a happy ending in this story. I love that Olivia not only got her HEA but also found her muse again too. An enjoyable read.
I did have read the first couple of pages a few times to orientate myself to what was actually happening - there wasn't anything wrong with the writing, personally I just felt like I'd jumped into the story a little later than the beginning.
I received a review copy of this book from the author but would have purchased it anyway.

Well, this was gorgeous. A twin swap, a suddenly dumped baby, a befuddled businessman tying to figure out if the baby is his -or related to him somehow. All in all a sweet and lovely romance as Liv and Sebastian find themselves, find each other, and find out what a family really means.

"A Baby in His In-Tray" by Michelle Douglass is a great Harlequin read. Olivia and Eliza Gilmour are identical twins and they always have each other back. Eliza needed Olivia to cover her job for Sebastian Tyrrell it was not a problem. When Olivia (Liv) finds a baby on her desk with a note for her new boss she has to call him. With his past and distance from his family and he is distant. Liv and Seb find themselves attracted to each other but the realization that Liv is not Eliza brings forward all the distrust from the past.

A little over the top but otherwise a fabulous read by the amazing MD. She creates such great characters and engages the reader in their story from start to finish. Some of the behaviour required a suspension of disbelief, but quite frankly, I didn’t care.
