Signed, sealed, delivered! In this delightful book, card-making mavens Eunice and Sabrina Moyle of Hello!Lucky letterpress gather together more than 25 projects from today's most talented paper artists. Simple instructions outline card- and envelope-folding basics plus how to screen print, use a Print Gocco machine, hand-bind, emboss, stamp, stencil, and much more. Ready-to-use patterns and spiral binding ease the process while easy-to-follow directions, cute illustrations, and finished project photos make it a cinch to create stacks of boutique-worthy greeting cards.
2.5 stars. Ok book with 27 greeting card projects in it. Included templates. I'll definitely use some of the templates and the directions for creating a library checkout card in Word.
Just awesome! Hello Lucky is a great card-design studio, and they put this book together. Other artists, including The Small Object's Sarah have projects in this book. It has everything I want from a craft book: lovely photos, info on each artist, a wide array of materials and methods. Every project makes you want to clear your calendar so you can stay home to make it. (Well, they're not all that involved, but you get the idea.)
Yay! I love most paper-crafting books and there are a LOT out there including loads on how to make your own cards. Some are sweet but not inventive. Some are too simple to impress and less charming than a storebought... ick. It's the thought that counts, right? Well, this book proves that you can have the thought AND the "wow" factor. So cute! So colorful and fun, thoughtful and unusual! Come over and let's make some cards!!
flipped through this. There were a couple cute ideas, but I thought most of them were too involved for something that will probably be thrown away if I gave it to someone. I like to make more permanent, long lasting things.
I spent the afternoon escaping the rain and spent hours in Barnes and Noble--this is a card making book that I would avoid--get McFadden and Baskin's 1000 Handmade Greetings instead.
