There’s no denying Ann Simpson is passive, so when she’s challenged to read a book that could change her life, she eagerly accepts. If she writes a winning article about her transformation, it could earn her a writing slot with Walquest Weekly, taking her career to the next level. And who knows—maybe it could empower her to step out of her romance novels and into her own happily ever after. Ann packs her bags and her book and heads to Montana where she hopes to reinvent herself. Caught off guard by the cowboy of her dreams, Trey Richardson, Ann falls hard and fast. But does Trey love the real Ann, or the book-made woman she’s invented for the article?
USA Today Bestselling author Kimberly Krey is known as the Queen of Steamy Clean Romance. She's a fervent lover of God, family, and cheese platters, as well as the ultimate hater of laundry. Her readers count on faith-filled romance novels that stay clean without losing the steam.
This book reads like a movie and not just any movie, but one that I could watch over and over again--a favorite. One of my New Year's resolutions is to become more assertive, so imagine my surprise when I discover that Ann is a kindred spirit (and not Ann with an e). Ann doesn't like conflict and has a hard time saying yes to new things and no to things that she doesn't want to do. In an effort to change herself and to win a job, she's following new tactics from a book she's reading and the results are swoony and fun.
Ann has always dreamed of falling for a real cowboy and gets her chance to meet one when she goes to her friend's ring ceremony in Montana. Enter Trey. The instantaneous sparks and chemistry almost knocked my Kindle right out of my hands! Trey is a gentleman and really encompasses all of the positive traits that Ann (and myself) associates with cowboys--hardworking, strong, sweet, loyal, charming...to name a few.
Neither character is perfect and each has a secret to hold close to their hearts, but the simmering passion, endearing personalities, and needed conflict propels this delightful tale right off the charts. I couldn't put it down and was surprised, although completely content, when the book ended. Kimberly Krey is a must-read if you love steamy clean romance and chick lit. This is one I'll definitely be reading again.
Content: mild+ (steamy clean romance, kisses); very vague violence (accident); very mild and brief references to religion

One of my favey faves has done it again with this new release! I'm just going to say this right now because I know it needs to come out of me and even though I say this all the time, here goes: There is just something about cowboys.
Ann and Trey are two characters I liked from the very first pages. I fell right into the story and their lives so easily. I love when that happens. This story plays out just like a movie. I wish this were a movie because it would probably be one of my favorite chick flicks! It has all the right yummy elements.
My favorite quote: "Life isn't living if you don't fight the fear." Yes. That.
Content: kissing
- I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Y'all, this was the prefect summer read. As I sat in the shade of my back porch, watching my kids ride bikes and catch lizards, I curled up and enjoyed this sweet and swoony romance.
Ann is a bit of an introvert (go Team Introverts), but after reading a self-help book about being more assertive, she decides to take the advice in the book and try to come out of her shell. As she writes about her experiences of applying the books teachings to her every day life, she also hopes to get her article published in a prestigious magazine. So, yeah, I could tell how the story would probably unfold and where the drama would come in, but I didn't care. I loved the characters and setting and just thought it was a fun way to pass the afternoon. Ann and Trey have great chemistry, they have a sweet courtship and their own issues to get over. They're cute together and you can't help but root for them.
Overall, I'd easily recommend this to anyone looking for a sweet romance and swoony cowboys!
Content: Clean Series: Unlikely Cowgirl, Book Two. Can stand on its own. Also, was fun to see characters from Cassie's Cowboy Crave make an appearance.

Yay! 😀 I LOVED Kimberly Krey’s cowboy series and Cassie and Shane’s story has always been my absolute favourite of hers. So, I was completely thrilled to discover that this story takes off from where Cassie and Shane’s story left off, albeit it in minor detail, with the reappearance of my favourite couple. Ann and Trey’s story is so much fun to read. I liked the characters’ personalities and the romance was typical of the author’s writing style - HOT and clean. You won’t find any swearing or sex in any of her writing and that’s just the way I like my romance books! It’s been a long time in coming, but I’m so happy that Ms. Krey wrote this story and that I got to read yet another of her fabulous stories. I highly recommend “How to Catch a Cowboy in Ten Days” - and if you haven’t already, grab a copy of her other books - you won’t be sorry!
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is one of my favorite romantic comedies. While the book How to Catch a Cowboy in 10 Days has a unique premise (she is trying to catch the guy, not lose him) I found myself drawn to the similarities between this book and that movie.
Ann is making decisions based on the article she is writing. Trey knows nothing about the article. The two main characters fall for each other but ultimately when the article she is writing comes to light it causes her to lose the guy she's fallen for. As we did in the movie we ultimately get our happily ever after. I most definitely enjoyed this book!
While this book stands alone I enjoyed seeing characters from Kimberly's Montana Bride's boos make an appearance.
I have to say, this book really got me. I related to Ann on a few different levels. At times in my life, I have wished I could speak up more or step out of whatever box I've put myself in, and that made Ann's journey all the more rewarding, even when the unexpected happened. Our cowboy, Trey (you might remember him from Cassie's Cowboy Crave) takes a few leaps of his own and I hope you'll enjoy seeing where they lead. For years I've had readers ask when Trey would see his happily ever after; I'm happy to say his time has arrived at last! I really hope you enjoy How to Catch a Cowboy in 10 days!
Ann wants to be more assertive so she reads a self-help book to become more so. As a plus to this, if she writes about her experiences, she might get a job at Walquest Weekly. This all happens as Ann is going to her friend's ring ceremony in Montana. It's a perfect opportunity for her to try out some of the things the book advises and write about them.
When she meets a real, live cowboy in Montana, it's like a dream come true because she has always wanted to fall for a cowboy like the ones in the romances she reads. Well, this cowboy was everything she had ever wanted. He's strong, hardworking, charming and polite. Not only was he everything she ever wished for but there were sparks between this pair as soon as they met.
As she falls for the cowboy, Ann knows she has to tell him about the article she's writing but being the timid person she is, she continually put it off. I kept thinking she should tell him. If she doesn't, is it going to come back and bite her in the butt?
You've got to love a book that leaves you smiling but with tears at the end. That's how this story left me. This is a wonderful book and I definitely recommend it.
I absolutely loved reading this book! It is a fun & heartwarming story. Ann is off the Montana, for her good friend's ring ceremony. After reading a book, Ann decides to challenge herself. She needs to speak up for what she wants. To get to the next level with her career, Ann will write an article about her challenge. When Ann meets Trey, she falls for the gorgeous cowboy. She's always dreamed of marrying a cowboy. Ann & Trey's connection is undeniable.Trey is just as taken with Ann. He's been protecting his heart, after an unforseen tragedy. Ann's life is in Seattle, & Trey's is in Montana. Can they both admit what they feel for each other? A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!
This was a very riveting story on how a young girl who was afraid to speak out and put herself out there to be seen and heard finds a man who she falls in love with but has to figure out how to keep him and marry him. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
Loved the characters and story, honestly would have liked to see Jenessa get her just desserts....or at least confronted...but in the end the characters were lovely.

This one make you believe in positive thoughts helping in finding love. Trey lost his first true love when she was killed in an accident and didn't think he would find love. Ann always had a thing for cowboys, but living in Seattle she didn't meet many, when she goes to Montana for her friends ring ceremony she meets Trey.
Mia & Hunter have similar pasts & a love for her grandfather. Will they or won’t they? Both meet their pasts head on but will they come to the same conclusion? Loved the storyline & they way it came to ‘life’.
A fun book to read. Good, clean story. This young lady is going to Texas for her friend's ring ceremony and she is reading this self help book on how to put yourself out so others notice you. So as a challenge she decides to put her self out there for the weekend and see what happens. Since their friend did not receive her new furniture for the spare room, they were to stay with a couple of cowboys out on the ranch. Well she falls for one of them, and her challenge comes to haunt here in a big way when a former girlfriend informs him of her challenge. He tells her to go home and write her stories. Read the book and see what happens. It has an interesting ending.
A must read for the series! A great book overcoming past hardships, seeing past manipulative people and your fears to the end of the lasso and being roped with Love.
Though this story was predictable, the complete likeablity of both the H and the h made it such a pleasure to read. It was so sweet and swoony! I will be looking for more from this author.
A great western romance that warms the heart of all who read it. Ann set out to meet her own cowboy and write about it in order to win a job with a huge company. She meets Trey, her dreamy cowboy & they fall in love. There are obstacles to overcome because both of them are withholding their past hurts. After some twists and turns and a wild jealous female after Trey, troubled waters abound. However, love, truth & forgiveness helps them overcome and turn back to each other. Great job.
Reading a book and going to Montana to a ring ceremony will that change Ann. She loves cowboy stories since she was young and secondly to be more assertive. To write about her transformation would give her a job. What will she lose after being at the ranch surrounded by cowboys, and the open range. Then there is Trey who wants to settle down, but wondering who Ann really is. Beautiful story of love, and being oneself. The motto fake it, she may lose.
This was wonderful romance with a great set of characters to compliment Ann and Trey's story. Most of the twists, turns and surprises are caused by one of Ann's reason for going to Montana. Honesty up front would have saved her and Trey a lot of heartache. Trey's fear of losing a loved one didn't help the situation either. There are touching scenes of warm loving families that add to the story. In the end they have a happy future.
She’s a quiet woman on a mission to become more assertive. She has a writing assignment to do that and met a cowboy. She tries all the hints and writes her article but a jealous ex girlfriend ruins the romance. But a wise older fiend points out to the cowboy that her love is true.
A good story of a passive person who says yes to others so she won't cause conflict. A challenge encourages her to speak up, state what she wants to friends and others. The story shows how she developed as a person she was proud of.
This book was very well written. Great storyline and wonderful character development. It's truly one of those books that really draws you in with all the sexy characters but a storyline that keeps you turning the pages well into the night.
A great book that will keep you turning the pages as a cowboy and a writer meet and fall in love. All is well until a jealous woman interferes. Then the challenge begins.
