When I first began my journey as a dietary vegan years ago, I tried to read up on the subject. Much of what I read was more philosophical. Sure, I feel good about doing my small part for the environment, but truthfully my main motivation was for health reasons.
The book Becoming Vegan was extremely informative. Even though I've been eating a strict vegan diet for some time already, the information provided in this book was tremendously helpful. I have a lot more confidence in my diet now.
The main push for me to become a dietary vegan was spending a week with a vegan. It was then that I realized how doable it was. I am forever grateful.
