I am so completely in love with everything Steel. Valentina was no exception.

I first read about Valentina in Terzetto and was left completely wrecked by her story. Despite my absolute adoration of MJ Fields, I will admit that I might have actually hated her a little bit for days after reading it. It was truly a beautiful story but also completely heartbreaking. (You HAVE to read it BEFORE reading Valentina!)

The thing about an author like MJ Fields is that she doesn't just tell you a story, she makes it a part of you. She makes you live it. Feel it. Breathe it. The love, the laughter, the anger and the pain. Every last bit of it all.

Today, for the first time, I was a little reluctant to start one of her books. The old wounds from Terzetto that I thought had healed began to split open as I started to read. I felt everything all over again as if I had read it yesterday. I adored Valentina and wasn't sure if I could accept the outcome of her story but I HAD to know what became of this beautiful, fierce woman.

Well let me tell you, it was fantastic! Although it was just a novella and not a full novel it packed no less punch. Valentina is truly an amazing woman and her story is beautiful.

Side note: The kids!! 😂🤣 *dead*

Five big fat stars from me!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*I love you MJ Fields and I swear I will never question you again. I'm sorry (hangs head in shame)

Ahhh, MJ..... well played......well played.

Valentina continues the Men of Steel series. It jumps 9 years in the future and continues the story of Dominic's sister Valentina. Our hearts were ripped apart at the end of Terzetto. This novella is the perfect epilogue to that story.

So wonderfully perfect I don't want to ruin it my telling you any more. We get not only Valentina but also catch up with all of Mama Joe's boys and their families. Obviously you will need to read the previous books in the Ties of Steel series. But every Steel book this author puts out is worth the read, so grab them all while your at it!

Valentina is the first book in the new Tied In Steel Series by M.J. Fields. M. J. Fields is the author of the fantastic Men of Steel Series. I read every book in the series and can´t say how much I loved them.
Valentina Segretti fell in love with her bodyguard. But he left her, betrayed her and she had to pay the price. She´s a single mom of twin daughters. She never forgot him and still loves him .
Franco Protettore left his reason to live behind when he left Valentina. Now after 9 years he´s back, a disillusioned and broken man with no hope of a future. Valentina is stubborn and doesn´t let him go. But they´re strangers after this long time apart.
I started reading and wanted to like the characters. But they made it difficult for me. They´re both so damaged, Franco more than Valentina who seems shallow and high maintenance. But their love´s stronger than separation and violence and they find their HEA. I give 4 sweet stars.

A Novella or A Full Length Book MJ Fields never disappoints.
Valentina is a book that every woman needs to read. The way that she has to overcome so many things in her life, not only for herself but for her two adorable twin daughters. What she really sees it’s all about family, when faced with tough decisions you can always count on The Steel Family.
We get a peek back into the The Steels and all the antics that now are caused by their children, they learned from the best and you can’t help feel you have taken that journey with them.
Valentina Segretti has made many choices in her life some good, some bad but she has made and chose the only one that she knew would get her to find that HEA that she and her daughters deserve.

Valentina is strong, faithful, steadfast and true!

Valentina is a strong woman who is faithful, steadfast and true.. True to herself and to her family with a little help along the way from Aunt Joe.

Beware.. what you thought you knew may not really be the truth at all! In true MJ fashion, the truth is not what it seems and it keeps you on your toes and the edge of your seat.

A quick read for sure and well worth it.. any time we get to visit with Steel and Co, is a very good day!

I don't know what kind of books some people read. Because once you finish reading this book some people are saying that is so good and how strong she is. Sheesh were was the strong part? This was such a crap book no kind of imagination such waste of my time. Is sad the first steel book was good the second was ok. By the third book I was like wtf. Seriously look into other books you may find a book worth giving a 5 star and actually deserving it . You should expect more for your money than bullshit story's.

5 Stars!

MJ Fields rocks it when it comes to her Steele guys but holy hell you give her a strong woman and she rocks that shit even harder.

Valentina is the first book in her Tied in Steele series, delivering an unforgettable romance that is going to steal your heart and leave you on the edge of your seat. I got lost in the pages right from the start and couldn't put it down until they stopped turning.

Angsty. Emotional. Intense. Sexy. Sweet. A real page turner, start until the very last page... can't wait for the next!

I highly recommend this book.

DISCLAIMER :- No empowering was done during the writing of this book. Any empowerment you felt was false and not intended by the author.

I don't know if I'll ever read a threesome that makes sense for the story or is atleast respectful to all it's participants. (Also why would the girls that Valentina had sex with go to him after finishing with her? Was this like a chain effect? And how is he getting this lucky, this frequently?)

I also didn't want to read about a Hero who is "Oh so sick of women with vanity" but in the same breath has a lesbian fetish and lorvesss threesomes. He basically described how obsessed he is with the h but then also doesn't give her any respect because rich women don't deserve that(only rich men do)!!

He shamed her for engaging in BDSM. He hated on her for some reason I can't fathome. He was also extremely unprofessional for having FUCKING THREESOMES while at work. Idk wtf authors find so irresistible about men who can't do their jobs professionally but there must be something I'm missing.

I didnt see anything wrong with her behaviour. I didn't get the point of any of their fights except the H mostly being a bastard. I don't understand what's wrong with her having sex with Sabato except ✨SLUT SHAMING✨

I'm just not vibing with this hero.

Valentina on the other hand I was very much interested in but didn't get much from. I wanted to know what was going on in her mind during her young days but we just saw her "empowered" version which I didn't much like.

I absolutely hate the mention of "taming" or "brought to heel" in reference to a woman and I did not appreciate it when Vincent said this about Valentina. He had no right to judge her or speak like that about her.

I didn't like the way almost everyone described the young Valentina.

This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. This book is a continuation of Valentina and Franco’s story. Part one being terzetto – the short story that featured in the vault anthology. I liked seeing how strong Valentina was in this story. I didn’t like her in the previous story she was in but I really liked her in this story.
I liked the twist and turns of this story. I liked that we get answers to the unanswered questions left over from the previous story.
Franco annoyed me but I liked how determined Valentina was to get her man. She wasn’t willing to let Franco walk away from her or their daughters.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I would recommend reading first.

Valentina and Franco

Valentina- stronger then before, a mom of two, business women, independant lady.

Franco- freed from prison, where he was rather then dead like book 1 made it seem.

This is the story of their love rekindled.

I was a lot less pissed off at this book then the previous story.

I am glad that all that time apart they still loved each other- they were still meant to be. Even though he was a criminal.

I wonder do they have more kids?

Tough, gritty, emotional, great read

Valentina's story is tough, hard, a road few have to venture down. This view into the love of her life, how she became truely forever Steele is an amazing read, M J Fields has a writing talent which ensures the read feels the emotion in every story, this is no exception. I'd suggest reading ALL her previous Steel books to have the full background, but actually it's because they're that good! I truely love the whole series, and Valentina has a special place, wow just wow.

Ok so Umm we have a resurrection romance going on here.

Franco’s story was so awesome it was hard to put down, then BAMM…Val’s story picks up and we suddenly have to work our heads around what’s happening. Ultimately we got our HEA but this was meant for more pages. These books don’t have to be so short if their good. We want to read what their kids thought, what’s really happening with Franco after the incident, how they make it work when life handed them that second chance. But alas, it got wrapped up in two paragraphs. Still. Well done.

Wow after reading Terzetto, I couldn’t wait to read Valentina and I was not disappointed. Valentina lost the love of her life and now is raising their twin daughters, but when loves comes back will she give it another go? I won’t say too much because I hate spoilers but how the story unraveled I was so ecstatic how it ended. Another amazing story that I absolutely loved and can’t get enough of. Another 5 Star read that you absolutely must read. Forever Steel ❤️

Darker read but good

This is Valentino and Franco’s story.nuts darker than the others and to be honest Valentino’s character has changed in several books. I started off liking her, then definitely didn’t liking her and in this book have to say I felt a bit indifferent to her. Franco well I’d liked him but again understood the why but felt it was wasted time. Nicely written and executed, forgive the pun and a good read.

Much Needed Valentina!

The story that preceded this one truly made me angry but Valentina is true redemption. If you believe in true, ever lasting love in all its various forms you need this story.
The only thing I don’t like about MJ Fields stories is that they end! Looking forward to the next in this series.

Little disappointed. Some parts jumped around and some parts just confused me and didn’t make since as part of the story. I am a big fan of this author and will continue to read the series.

Just ok! I had high hopes for Valentina’s book. We got a glimpse into her in Sabato and then again in her brothers book, I think I just expected more and for her body guard not to be a total tool once he found out about his girls.

Just ok

It was an ok read. I wanted so much more from the characters. Wanted to go in depth with his relationship with his daughters. The way part one ended I expected to be on edge and I wasn't. Although I love this series. This was just ok. Hopefully Paige book will be better.

Needed more

Felt a little lost in the beginning, unsure of the time line like I stepped into the middle of a story. Would have loved to have had a little longer story line.

Very unusual

This is different and varied... the story line doesn't always flow.... I guess you have to read more to understand the full story...
