I love Fodor’s.
I take them with me on my travels. Very helpful for double checking sights I want to see as well as finding restaurants.
Can’t wait to visit AZ in December!

Took this on a trip to Tucson and the Sky Islands. It was all I needed as a general guide and also had excellent short descriptions on hiking trails/natural heritage areas (my primary interest), that led me to more detailed Internet information. Lots of meat and not much fat (well except for the copious hotel and restaurant listings, but that applies to most guidebooks).

Great overview of activities in Arizona. We’ve referenced this so many times on our trip. It’s helped to fill in the gaps on our way to the major sites. The restaurant recommendations have also been really spot on.

Great Travel Guide - it's tattered and dog-eared now. It was a tremendous help as we packed 1500 miles and 8 National Parks and Monuments into 4 days.

Great book with a handy map I used to plan a comprehensive visit to Arizona. Covers all the different areas of Arizona and all categories of things to see. I do prefer Fodor over Lonely Planet guides

I grabbed this from the library as we are traveling to the Chicago area for part of spring break. We are traveling with small children (ages 3 and 5) and I was hoping this book would give me some more tips/tricks/family-specific items to guide me through our visit - it did not. There was barely 1 page on the Shedd Aquarium with hardly any tips to avoid lines, best times to go, where to eat, etc. Overall I paged through it and got a few ideas for more obscure places to visit, but it didn't meet my need for garnering family travel ideas.

Excellent resource for information regarding national parks and national monuments. While the recommendations for accommodations and dining were too pricey for our type of travel, the information for the sights and attractions was invaluable. Good companion for the Lonely Planet for budget-conscious travelers.

Read in preparation for trip to Sedona area, likely to include Montezuma Castle and Wupathi NMs, maybe SF Peaks, Sunset Crater and walnut Canyon NMs, and possibly Slide Rock SP. So close, 2ish hours, Grand Canyon, may go again!

The images in this book are fantastic and greatly helped us in planning what we wanted to see, especially Rainbow Bridge, Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell.

The first thing I read about the Grand Canyon was a suggestion to go on a Hummer tour. Um. No. Not my style.
Not sure if I can bring myself to open the book again

A very good book. Had great tips and well described hikes. It helped us a lot on selecting our trails to Grand Canyon North rim, Antelope Canyon and Vermilion Cliffs.

Very good guide. What you'd expect from Fodor's. I read the ebook version and took it to AZ on my Nook. Has a lot of info on all parts of AZ, a state with plenty of natural attractions.

Much-appreciated Christmas gift. Spent a pleasant afternoon going chapter to chapter with my highlighter. Comprehensive and, based on what I already know about AZ, accurate.
