Water Town

Rate this book
Ronnie is anxious about spending the summer with family she barely remembers. Her expectations are low. She'll babysit her cousin, do odd jobs to earn money for college, and maybe if she's lucky, spend a few hours on the beach. She never thought for a moment she would find herself in an abandoned orphanage, hunting ghosts or tangled up in murder.

Captivating and Unforgettable:

*Water Town* by Laurel Veil is a captivating read that masterfully blends romance and the supernatural. From the moment I started, I found it nearly impossible to put down. The story's compelling narrative and well-crafted characters kept me turning pages late into the night.

Laurel Veil weaves together a rich tapestry that includes not only a touching romance but also an intriguing ghostly presence, making the plot both heartwarming and thrilling. The balance of these elements is handled with skill, ensuring that neither aspect overshadows the other.

In essence, *Water Town* is a great story that grips you from the beginning and doesn't let go. It’s a must-read for anyone who enjoys a blend of romance and the supernatural.

Good Read

It’s a great story of young love, beach town and strange relationships. What father in his right mind is going to let his 17 year old daughter live with his brother and sister-in-law for the summer, when they haven’t seen each other in a long time? Then the uncle let’s the 17 year old live in an apartment next to the house, who does that?
Loved the ghosts and the backstory.
It’s a quick read meant for younger people because as a mom and grandmother, I would be worried to death.

Couldn’t put it down!!!

I got this book for free and started reading at 930 at night. It’s now 1 in the morning and I finished it! There are some cliffhangers that tie the story together better. I love it

Good

Really quick read. The writing in the beginning of the book was kinda choppy, but I did like the shorter paragraphs. The later chapters did pull you in more to the story to the point where I couldn't put the book down. It would be cool to get a sequel.

A beach town story around high school relationships, creepy hauntings, odd mysteries, and new adventures. I really liked the protagonist.

I almost gave 4 stars but as I reflect more, the ending felt rushed, and I felt like I was deprived of critical details to fully close out the story.

Great beach read

This was a very good quick summer read. It could be considered YA but I as an older adult enjoyed it. The plot was interesting and characters. I would read more from the author.

Nice read

I liked the story line and the down to earth ideas. Some of the material is kind of not believable but isnt that what fiction should be? I would recommend this book

Great tween read this old person enjoyed

Good story telling. , predictable likeable characters. Started and finished in one sitting. Left a bit of a cliff hanger, but it is okay.

Cute story

I chose this book because it sounded like a pleasant read. It's a nice story and would be great for teens or pre-teens. A mild little mystery. No vulgarity. Quick read.

Easy to digest page-turner. Relations seem to be a bit all over the place but still a very fun read.
