Things just got even more interesting and confusing, but I'm on Team Everything Will Be Revealed Later and hoping that I wont tear my hair out trying to make sense of stuff if it everything isn't revealed later.
I believe I've reached the point of needing to fall back on previous issues to catch up -- monthly forays into this title leave me distrusting what I recall from the last few reads. Still, this is a good story and I bet I would have appreciated it a lot more if I had kept up with the nuances (or read it in a trade-format).
We've got some supernatural elements toying again with the plot and at this point I don't know how much to trust them, which is O'Malley showing off his talent with unreliable narrators and how, despite that, we get snippets of who the characters truly are behind what they want to show the world. For a story that's so meshed in social media, this is genius.
Reasons why Snotgirl #10 is making sense now (sort of): •Ghostgirl is f*cking real! She was a fashion blogger like Lottie and her friends. •Virgil and Caroline are responsible of covering their dirty deeds. Yeah, I did notice that Virgil is way more emotional than Caroline when doing it like he feels sorry to bash someone in the head. •Charlene is still obsessed with Lottie and she's gay. Sunny might probably explode in the next volume/issue. •I sense Detective John Cho is investigating the previous murders and how it connects to the current one. •Lottie is feeling high as f*ck thanks to Caroline (┛ಸ_ಸ)┛彡┻━┻ .
This is starting to come together, I'm still mostly confused but at least the pieces are starting to come together. This is like a really confusing lifetime movie.
