Colin O’Shea has been an underdog his whole life, always working for the spotlight. Now an unexpected romance may put his chance to shine in jeopardy!
His auburn hair and unconventional appearance have always made a lasting impression, but not for reasons Colin has always wanted. When he is accepted to Julliard School of Performing Arts, he decides that nothing will distract him from his drive to be the best dancer and stand out in the crowd.
Nothing that is, until Gregor McCallum enters his life. With his flawless mocha skin, tall muscular body, and honeyed voice, Gregor’s carefree attitude threatens Colin’s focus.
So, when the drama and dance programs decide to put on a Valentine’s Day show together, Colin must make the choice between becoming the best dancer and his growing passion for the drama student.
What Colin doesn’t realize, is that Gregor might just be the very person who can pull him out of his shell and make him understand that there is more to life than just dancing.

**** A wonderful M/M romance at Julliard !**** * Colin is a smaller ginger and determined to be the best dancer he can be at Julliard. He tries harder because he doesn't have the typical look. He's never found time for romance. * Gregor in his tan Fedora and beautiful mocha skin, a is a devoted actor who loves to dance, too. The two departments will be working together on a special performance. Instead of the usual ballet, they will perform RENT, the musical this time. It is new, fresh and unusual.
Colin had noticed Gregor a year ago, but never spoke to him. Now, Gregor strikes up a conversation with Colin, and their kiss is a sky rocket and meaningful. Each man is interesting and capture our hearts.
The writing is beautiful with superb descriptions that we can actually feel and see how Colin's emotions move through him when he dances. *** It's the best inner dialogue I've read about how a dancer's thought process works. Colin is honest with Gregor about being a virgin and being a stickler to his dance devotion. Gregor tells him he'll be there when ever Colin has time, because his deep feelings tell him he's in it for the long haul.
This slow burn is exciting and their sexy times are marvelous. The practice sessions have ups and downs; as family gets involved and some snobby students are rude. We get to watch all of the action.
This is a feel-good sweet romance with memorable characters and a lovely HEA.
Colin has dreams of becoming a great Danseuse, he attends the famous Juilliard School, he has the talent in bucketfuls but he is not considered tall enough. Plus he has inherited the red hair from his Irish Dad. Colour prejudice at its most outrageous!!!! His Teacher, Madame, keeps telling him that these are his drawbacks, but keep trying.
His best friend, Katarina, a fellow dancer, wants to change from dance to drama but is terrified because her parents, both Russian, and in high political positions back in Russia, won’t pay her Juilliard fees if she changes to Drama Studies.
Katarina and Colin support each other and she even encourages him in his crush on Gregor, a Drama Student and friend of hers.
Colin continues to eye Gregor whenever he can but he doesn’t want anything to interfere with his dancing and his focus on a big event, Valentines Virtuoso. However, Eric, the tall, dark haired star of the class, sees Colin as his arch rival and has earmarked the lead role for himself.
Colin finds an unoccupied training room to practice for his audition for a part in a special musical ‘Rent’ about the AIDS pandemic, homosexuality and racial differences. He is overwhelmed when Gregor finds him and even more surprised when he gets close up and kisses him.
This is a very sweet story with a few Incidents that rock the boat, especially for Colin, a family accident and an altercation between rivals for top places and rivals for love. Enough to throw anyone off their step, but does it?
What a delightful story. I loved everything about it. The ballot terms are either well researched or Romeo Alexander has an up close relationship with the form and rigors of the ballet movements. The dedication, sacrifices, and love of dance is well represented. Also, the jealousy and back biting between some dancers. The competition for better parts is grueling and sometimes hurtful. All these emotions were woven into the story and added to the tension of this love story. Colin and Gregor fit together like a well broken in pair of dance shoes. A little uncomfortable at first, but the longer you wear them the more they mold to your feet and become a part of you. They are a delightful pairing. Good things come to those who work hard and put their all into life and love. This is a thoroughly delightful story. Well done!
The second book in the Opposites Attract series was a heartfelt page-turner. A just in time for a Valentine’s Day treat. I fell in love with Colin – a dedicated dance student who tries to prove that everything stacked against him won’t get in the way of his future. Even the potential for love. Introduce Gregor, the charismatic drama student whom everyone adores and wants. Both are doing whatever it takes to be part of the school’s Valentine’s Day performance but the attraction between them causes confusion on what’s more important. Instead of a relationship getting in the way of a future, these guys try to see how it can potentially enhance it. Romeo Alexander’s series continues to get better and better. I anxiously look forward to the next installment.
I normally hate first person stories. It always feels as if they're being told to me by someone not worth the effort to listen to. Until this one.
This one is written in a such a way it feels as if it's years down the road, and you're reading Colin's diary of how he and Gregor feel in love. It reads PERFECTLY.
I rarely have an author I can say hasn't disappointed me in something, but I've read EVERY SINGLE BOOK on the list from the most recent to this one (I'm going backwards lol, unless it's a series and then I read those in order) but even the books I want sure about, I loved them.
I like a bit of realism in the books I choose to read, and I’m not prone to negative reviews, but. The pace of this book, along with the previous OAS 1 book is to quick, add water and shake- instant committed relationships. The information about Boston 30 years old, and is overwhelming stereotypical, clearly no research was done. The sex scenes are unrealistic and silly. This author needs to research locations, leave out the sex, work on character development and pacing. I will not spend any topi e on the possible OAS3.
This is an adorable romance which takes place at New York's world famous Julliard School between a ginger Irish-American dance student from "the Boston neighborhood," and a biracial drama student who is also from Boston but they don't know that about each other.
When they find out, Collin O'Shea and Gregor McCallum simply can't keep their eyes, or hands for that matter, off each other and we are treated to another lovely Romeo Alexander love story.
This one involves several milieus, several extremely interesting secondary characters, several sub-plots and one semi-tragic development, none of which get in the way of a romance set in the stars and sprinkled down to earth sweetly.
You don't have to wait until Valentine's Day to enjoy it.
I'm having a streak of reading M/M romance where the flow of the book is stilted. I have moments that I feel that I've missed something, because dialogue does not immediately make sense or time jump that I wasn't put into context for me. I loved the setting for this love story and will probably keep my eye out for romances set in ballet company.
