This guide details legal rules under which police must operate. It describes police powers and its limitations, with specific attention to constitutional issues concerning the authority to detain and make arrests, search and seize property (with and without a warrant), interrogate suspects, and use pretrial identification procedures. The basic principles are addressed, as are individual cases and particular scenarios. Consequences of violating such rules are also outlined.

I gave this a brief look. It has been mildly useful. There have been deep questions for me as to what constitutes legal issues for the police, as well as police ethics. For me, a lot of professions have different issues in this area- they all differ somewhat. I won't bore you with the details. I probably will complete the book later on.

Learning about individual Constitutional rights and how they apply to police behavior and the justice system in America. Wish I would have known this stuff along time ago!
