This story didn't get where it wanted to go and it's 100 pages too long. It went from a story about Victor and Nichole, and then morphed into a story about Nichole's best friend and her husband and their issue, and then morphed back into a story about Victor and Nichole, their pets and their children. Plus, this story entered Cray-Cray Land; seriously, I still laugh when I think about one particular scene. Lastly, there is an over usage (90 times) of the word scream where it should have said: shouted, exclaimed, or said.
I enjoyed the characters and their little pets Zax the red panda and Tashka the dog. I thought this author brought some fun to this book with how Nichole and Victor engaged with their pets. Nichole was a vet who worked with pets and Victor was informed of someone who could help him with finding out why his panda stop eating and flew Nichole to Brazil to help with the situation. These two went out, had a few drinks and one thing led to another which this couple ended up together in a one night stand and poof Nichole ends up pregnant with twins. Wonderful and exciting read. I giving this book 3.5 stars only because I thought this story was a bit rushed from one thing to another, but it was an enjoyable story to read. Look forward to reading more of this authors work.
A Taste of Brazil, was unexpected. You wrote not just a love story but a beautiful life story. I loved you characters. Including the pets added a real life feeling. The intelligence of the children fits today's world. The were babies come from talk was priceless and memorable not to mention the pets reaction to the new babies and so much more. Thank you for the laughter and tears. Made me look like a dork as I read on a flight. Excellent read you all.
Where do I even start with this book. Tbh I had really high hopes when I read the blurb, I saw alpha and I was like YESSSSS bring him out all I got was a never ending tale. While reading I was think when is this going to end. This book needed to be shorter and she went from one couple to the next then back again. Even the drama was to much. I was really disappointed😢😢😢😢
Far too many superfluous details to be really enjoyable.
I don't care that he walked into a room and saw already cracked crab legs on his plate with butter. Or that she walked into a room and saw the bed was made and could see how high the comforter was from the floor. I. Don't. Care.
Meh... Among other things, taking into account how many years of school is required to become a vet, ages of characters were unrealistic. Couldn't be bothered.
