Kristy O’Connor never hid the fact that she wanted Dean ‘Bull’ Nash. He’s kept her at arm's length since they met but he’s pushed her away for the last time.
Dean loves Kristy more than he could ever tell her. He wants her desperately, but his family secrets could destroy them both.
When he can’t stay away from her any longer, murder and a shocking betrayal shake them to their core. Can their new relationship survive?
What does someone say to describe themselves? You could start with giving what others say about you. Scratch that. It doesn't really matter what others think about you. It matters what you think of yourself. So here we go.
First of all, I'm a wife and mother. I'm also a new grandmother. That alone would fulfil any woman's life. To be honest it does. But.....
I'm also a writer. Someone who loves to tell stories of love, suspense, heartache and of course happily ever after. For most of my life, I've written those stories for myself. A type of therapy, I suppose. I love the characters I create. They become part of who I am because there's part of me in them.
So.... Now that you know this about me. I hope when you read my books, you fall in love with them.
You should also know that I'm a Newfoundlander. What is that you ask? Well we're a proud people who live on an island, off the east coast of Canada. Some people believe Canada ends with Nova Scotia. It doesn't. If you keep going east, there is a beautiful island full of amazing people and magnificent scenery. That is where my stories are set because let’s face it. The best stories always come from the places you know and love.
If there is anything else you would like to know about me. Ask me!
I loved this book!! Love this whole series! So glad Bull and Kristy got their story and wow what a story! Loved the suspense! If you haven't read anything from Rhonda Brewer you need to read this and the rest of the series, you will not be disappointed!!
Brilliant, brilliant, what more can I say. I have read the whole series of these books to date and hope there will be others to follow. Full of romance and suspense. Plenty of humour too. Love all the family and how they interact with each other, but Man in particular makes me smile. Would recommend these books to everyone.
Nice romance with family drama twist. I enjoyed Dean and his Kitten and how she went to great lengths to rope him in and protect him and his family as well. I guess her instincts were spot on but the wickedness of the truth was kind of crazy.
I was so excited that the O'Connor girls have gotten a start in this series. Dean and Kristy have been basically been playing cat and mouse for awhile here. Watching them, and knowing that they both were into each other and knowing neither was pushing it too much farther made me laugh and be frustrated all at the same time. We learn so much about Dean and his family he has made it a point of dodging in the past. Kristy just leaves trying to escape it all with a temp job, and BAM! Kristy and Dean are tossed together and not turning back now. There were many twist and turns, a few i didn't see coming. How fabulous this story was. As always we can't just have a couple O'Connors, without the Lot of them all being present and helping fix the problems that have arisen! Looking forward to the rest of both the guys and girls stories being told, that haven't been addressed yet. 5/5 Cross posting to Amazon and My Reading Reality
Having met Kristy and Dean in the O’Connor Brother’s series we already know all about these characters. Kristy is a strong woman so she needs a strong man and Dean (Bull) is just the insanely hot guy to fill those shoes. I love the family dynamic in this book/series. The O’Connors are strong and they are very protective of not only their family but also anything they adopt into that unit. As always Nanny Betty plays her part in inserting some much needed comic relief into the story. Bring on more O’Connor Girls :D
Talk about murder mystery with twist and turns an of course a very steamy hot love connection. Rhonda Brewer gave us another outstanding awesome book to this series with best family and group of friends that makes you wish could jump into the book an be part of them. Can't wait for the next one.
Liked the H and h. His past was full of pain and loss, which continued into this book. You really had to feel for the guy. I enjoyed Kristy’s character as well. The climax was a little complicated and far-fetched, but it’s a book and that’s what makes them fun. A fun, quick read as always. And still the grammar issues, as always. But I’m still looking forward to the next book.
Dean does not want to involve Kristy is his drama, so his keeps his distance Until they both need each other to survive the storms of life and come out the other side to find their happily ever after
Another wonderful book in the O'Connor series. If your a fan of suspense and romance you'll love this series and this book. The author did a wonderful job drawing me I to the family and telling Kristy and Dean's story.
The O'Connor family is so entertaining and lovable. I love Nanny Betty. This book has a lot of twisty suspense. The romance is good (though I could do without the graphic sex), the ending is happy.
