About the author

The unique transgender cartoonist, the author of Assigned Male. She is from Montreal, Quebec. She is active in the transgender rights movement and speaks on the subjects of trans history and transfeminism.

I'm not the target audience in terms of age so I'm not gonna rate it. But I really enjoyed it nevertheless! Cute stories about trans and queer kids just living their goddamn life being iconic as hell.

Plääh, jäi liian osoittelevaksi ja alleviivaavaksi valistuskirjallisuudeksi tämä. Lasten puhekuplat oli täytetty niin asiapitoisella valistuksella, että minkäänlaista inhimillistä persoonallisuutta ei syntynyt kenellekkään. Lyhyempien tarinoiden kohtaamisetkin jäivät lyhyiksi väärinajattelijoiden teilaamisiksi. Jollain tasolla sarjakuva syyllistyi itse juuri siihen kapeaan lokerointiin, jota vastaan se taisteli.
Odotin jotain ihan muuta.

Feels a little weird to count this as a book since it was about 30 pages long and took me all of maybe 3 minutes to read... But oh well. The three stars is mainly for the length, the content was obviously on point and I love Labelle's comics!
