**This ebook collection contains the first three full-size novels of The Seven Signs!**
From book one, Child of the Flames: The Red Swords came with the sunrise and took everything Shawna Llewan held dear.
Her family massacred, her home destroyed, she escapes with nothing but her mother’s heirloom and the desire for vengeance. When she’s found by Dormael, a Warlock of the Conclave, she learns that her mother’s keepsake—the very reason her family was killed—holds the power to unleash boundless destruction. Dormael and Shawna must flee for their lives before a vengeful enemy and guard against the deadly secret it seeks to unearth.
Some secrets are best left buried, and vengeance must be pulled from the fists of the gods. With danger closing in around them, Shawna and Dormael are left with little choice. Will they escape, or will they drown beneath a tide of blood?
From book two, The Knife in the Dark: Sanctuary beckons, but hides a deadly secret within.
Dormael and D’Jenn bring a dangerous artifact home to the Conclave, hoping to answer the riddle behind an ancient mystery. But their homecoming only raises more questions as they discover an undercurrent of lies beneath the surface—lies that have been eating at the foundation of the Conclave itself, and subverting all they’ve sworn to uphold. Caught in a web of treachery, they must uncover the truth to free themselves, and keep an ancient weapon from falling into the wrong hands.
To survive, Dormael and D’Jenn may have to sacrifice everything.
With their home crumbling around them, they’re forced to make a dreadful choice. Will they navigate the waters of intrigue steeping the Conclave in turmoil, or be crushed by the cold heels of their enemies?
From book three, The Old Man of the Temple: An archaic power awakens, but the shadows of antiquity conceal a terrible truth.
Fugitives from the Conclave, Dormael and his friends flee with the armlet in their possession. Hounded by their former allies, they undertake a dangerous trek to an ancient ruin—a place where the only things older than the stones are the secrets buried beneath them. Pain and darkness wait in the halls of the dead, but something worse may be closing in from behind.
With evil stirring, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Will Dormael and his friends uncover the mystery of the artifact, or be destroyed by those who wish its power for themselves? For Dormael, D’Jenn, and Shawna, failure could mean the destruction of everything they know.
The war is just beginning, and the gods will weigh the price in blood.

Wow loved this 3 book collection only thing bad.....it's so fantastic I read them all wayyyy to fast lol . From the first page to the last I couldn't get enough of this story . This story just rolls off the pages and everything about this is perfect. The main characters are fleshed out perfectly and they grow before your eyes. And did anyone say action this is action packed both sword and sorcery . The fighting scenes are great in detail and how he describes them as they are flowing from one stance to the next , you can tell he did his homework . The magic and the characters using it are not just weilders . So go buy this action packed series and love it love it love it .
I really enjoyed this series. The banter back and forth between the characters is funny and keeps you enthralled. The description of the world around us amazing. The story line is great. There are lots of twists and turns throughout the books. The only thing I didn't like was all of the cussing. But the storyline is so well written that it becomes easy to overlook. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Enjoyed this trilogy, I chose to read all three books as one. First, there are some lengthy passages, scenes and descriptions, where I struggled to continue, however, I stuck with the books because I genuinely had an interest in all of the characters and I believe it paid off in a positive way. The world building was creative, imaginative, and I liked the magic portrayed. I enjoyed learning and discovering the characters strengths and weaknesses. Again, a good start on a promising world, I look forward to revisiting this series again in the future.
Absolutely entranced from start to finish. I LOVED these three books from the moment I started reading the first. Book one doesn't tiptoe you in to set the scene on page one. It grabs you by the scruff of the neck and throws you in headfirst. It has intriguing and unique characters and circumstances immersed in a fantastic yet believable world. The characters grow and you start learning about them as the story progresses. I had a lot of questions about the characters in book one, why this person was this way or that, answered in books two and three and you have these..."ohhhh...that's why he..." or "Ohhhh now, I know why she..." moments. You slowly uncover the layers of who they are and what makes them tick in their particular fashion but have it come to you naturally like it would a friend you meet. You don't instantaneously know all of their past and darkest secrets and dreams, you slowly get to know them and I feel that the author does that well here.
Also, I'm also a sucker for strong, smart "I'll save my own ass, but thanks anyway" female characters and adore Lady Shawna Llewan and the brave little waif turned spitfire, Bethany. (slight spoiler coming) ********
Bethany is a child rescued in book one by the two cousins Dormael and D'Jenn from the most heinous kind of child abuse you can imagine. (Thankfully, the author leaves out the details and it is just left to your imagination or I would have had to delete the book.) Bethany blossoms under the care of Dormael, D'Jenn and their comrades throughout the rest of the books and is a sweet terror whose powers promise to raise more than a few eyebrows as things progress.
This series is very brutal and beautiful each and EVERY step of the way. I can't wait to read the next book in this series "The City Under The Mountain". In fact, I'm going to go download it to my Kindle ASAP!
This was edge of your seat, teeth grinding, keep you guessing all the way to the end. It's a roller coaster ride of tumultuous experience. I would recommend this book to any fantasy addict. The world building is beyond what I expected. The characters are so real that you can almost see them walking and telling you their story. I will be reading the next one. Mr. Hawkins also have a believable history and details the relevant parts. The book has some humor but gets darker towards the last book. Do yourself a favor and grab the series. I promise you won't be disappointed.
If you are interested in amazingly awesome bad guys that believe in what they are doing who are Evil and Demonic and looking for adventurers that are bold and willing heroes instead of all those reluctant hacks, this is the series for you. Make sure to read the authors warning about profanity and profane. I personaly chose to skip over a bit of a chapter as it got pretty gruesome and dark, but all the more reason to want to see Evil vanquished. Excellent villains make the heroes shinre more brightly.
I can't believe these were all $.99. Sometimes family means something different. This is a story of doing the right thing no matter what. Even when the whole world is against you and you don't know who to trust any longer. This series is easy to read, and stay up too late doing exactly that. Every chance I got, I had my book going.. I became that person walking across the street staring at their phone! LOL! I'll be watching for the next installment. Thank you!
D W Hawkins is an excellent story teller. The saga is filled with compelling characters and relationships. Love blossoms between the baroness llewan and dormael. There is some resolution but the story is not over yet. I'm caught in the web Hawkins has weaved, the Seven Signs is a masterpiece.
When I started this trilogy, I thought there would be an end to the story. However, it is just the beginning of a long story. I enjoyed the character development of the heroes and villains in this saga. It will be interesting to see where it goes.
