Mary and Veronica McBride were local humor writers in the vein of Erma Bombeck and Jean Kerr. A mother daughter team, they wrote gently humorous sketches for women's magazines, and gags for people like Phyllis Diller and Joan Rivers. Their books reflect their love of home and family, and their warm sense of humor.
