Given away to another Dom.

Of all the things Sejal expected from the letter G, having her Master give her away was never one of them.

As a member of LA’s most exclusive BDSM club, Sejal has to play the club overseer’s new game. A game where everyone is assigned a letter and with their partners has to explore every item that begins with that letter on the BDSM checklist. Collared and bonded to Master Sato, Sejal assumes he’ll be her partner, but one of the first items on the checklist is “given away to another Dom.” Sejal’s Master gives her to Master Cortland Dowell, a ridiculously sexy Dom who looks at her in a way her own Master hasn’t in far too long.

Cortland is a good Dom. It’s one of the few things he’s good at. And being a good Dom means when Master Sato passes over Sejal’s leash his first thought is making sure the beautiful submissive is okay with what’s happening.

Though they seem like very different people, Sejal and Cortland soon realize they’re a perfect fit as Dominant and submissive. The problem is she’s only his for the weekend, unless, of course, Cortland decides that instead of giving her away temporarily, Master Soto meant the other item on the checklist—giving away his sub…permanently.

I thought this was a delightfully sweet BDSM story. A little drama , a little hesitance and a lot of hot sex!
The instant attraction of these two characters and the short but sweet list of "G" make this an exciting read. Absolutely LOVED the glider! For a quick lunchtime read, GRAB THIS BOOK, and the rest of the BDSM Checklist. Highly recommend.

This Checklist is so much fun,and every couple until now has found a HEA.
With the letter G comes an item on the list that’s been checked a while back.
A long time ago,actually...when Sejal and Master Sato joined Las Palmas.
Having him use it shocks her, while in fact it shouldn’t.....
Because he’s demanded she’d top him without asking her how she felt about it.
So,him giving her away shouldn’t really come as a surprise, right?
So why does it hurt so much?
And why is it then that she’s actually looking forward to being with Master Cortland?
Looking as delicious as he is,he still is a stranger.....
Cortland takes one look at Sejal and knows she’s too good for him,but he wants her, badly.
He plans to enjoy his time with her,and hopes he won’t f**k things up too much.

Can these two very different people find a way to make things work?
And will they be able to find a way to make it work more permanently?
With another delicious letter ticked off the list,i’m looking forward to the next!

G is for... Giving 5 stars is easy!

What can I say? I fLOVE these bite sized stories by L. DuBois. I am fortunate this go around, because “H is for...” is already awaiting me on my Kindle.

The BDSM Checklist series of novellas has made me a fan of this author. Although I often find myself in darker territory, there is definitely something to be said for a good ol’ (SSAC,RACK, etc) BDSM read.

Dubois hit it out of the park with the overall plot of this series...setting herself up to write as many of these lovely little books, as the Alphabet has letters, and as far as her imagination can take her. I will be reading, that’s for sure.

The Overseers at L.A.’s most exclusive BDSM resort believe that their members have become too complacent in their play, and have assigned each couple a letter, and list of all of the imaginable kinks that begin with that letter. Members must play, singles are ‘randomly’ matched into pairs to explore all the kinks associated with their given letter. Those bonded to each other, Master and slave, Mistress and sub, etc. are to play together. Except.. that’s not the plan for one bonded couple.

Most members had filled this checklist of activities, kinks, and fetishes with such haste, or such a long time ago, and many couldn’t even remember what was on the list; nor what they had agreed to do, or had marked as being willing to try.

Segal, the brilliant Neurosurgeon by day, submissive by night, was no different. She had expected to play with her bonded partner. Although there was certainly comfort in that familiarity, her bonded “Top”Master Sato, a.k.a. Hach, had been recently demanding Sejal to be a Switch and dominate him. This was not something that Sejal enjoyed; she finds freedom in submitting, and is hoping beyond hope that maybe the game may change things. Still, she surely was expecting to be paired with her bonded partner in whatever role.

But, there was a plan in motion concerning her letter and her partner! A plan that may just put a spin on everything.

There were 2 kinks with the letter G as its first, that she certainly didn’t recall, and that hadn’t even been considered by Sejal: “Given away” and “Given away... permanently”.

To her utter dismay, Hach informs her that she is being “Given Away” for part of their requirement to fulfill their letter of G. After agreeing, she is paired with someone with a striking physical similarity to her high school star crush, a through and through Dominant, Master Cortland.

Master Cortland (*swoon*) is portrayed in such an unusual, but captivating way. We rarely get to see such a Dom, with obvious flaws, an emotional side he doesn’t try to pretend isn’t there, and who isn’t always perfect. How completely refreshing, and irresistibly “real” to read about this character.

Will the game lead to anything? How will Sejal and Hach take to being paired apart?

Another unique, entertaining installment in the BDSM Checklist Series.

H is for....HURRYING TO “H is for...”

I have read the previous books in the BDSM Checklist series, but I think this story is my favorite. The series is set in Las Palmas, an exclusive BDSM club. The overseers of the club feel that the members are getting too complacent, and decide to change things up. Every member of the club is required to participate in a new game. “A game where everyone is assigned a letter and with their partners has to explore every item that begins with that letter on the BDSM checklist.” If couples are in a bonded/collared relationship, they are not assigned a new partner. Until now.

Sejal assumes her Master will be her partner, but one of the first items on the checklist is “given away to another Dom”. Sejal’s Master gives her to Master Cortland Dowell. Sejal has not been happy for some time (she has been switching for her Dom, but she is submissive). Sejal has to find the strength to make a decision about her future with her Master, and Cort helps her find that strength.

Sejal and Cort were so different from any of the other couples in the series. Cort was not the usual Dom - he was not perfect and quite unorganized. I enjoyed the interactions between Sejal and Cort. I found them to be endearing, quirky, vulnerable, funny, and lovable. The sex scenes were hot and emotional. I was so happy with the epilogue, as well!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader's copy of this book. G is For... has to be my new favorite L. DuBois book!!

This is the seventh in what I assume will be twenty-six entries in a series set in Las Palmas Oscuras, one of those fantasy BDSM clubs popular in this genre. (I say "assume" because I'm not entirely sure what kinks begin with "Z," but we'll see.) The series' central conceit offers us a dom and sub who participate in kink scenes that begin with the letter they've been assigned ("A," for example, includes "Anal Play"). Each is a stand-alone featuring a single couple (some long-standing, others not) that is long on erotica and short on story. In fact, I would call these "novellas," rather than "novels" since much of the total page space is taken up with ads for Ms. DuBois' other books.

Because each story features different characters, a different relationship dynamic, and different kinks, some will appeal more to individual readers based on personal preference than others. Here "G" means gags, a glider, and -- most apropos to the storyline -- "given away."

Sejal and her master have been in a lukewarm D/s relationship for years. She's a submissive, but he's decided to explore his own submissive side so has been ordering her to top him; frustrated, she's nonetheless complied. When he gives her away, she has mixed feelings, but soon finds a lot more satisfaction with Cort. Will he want to keep her after their weekend?

For many reasons, this is an atypical entry in this genre. Cort, in particular, with his self-doubts and general aimlessness in life, is hardly a stereotypical fantasy dominant and, thus, not one to all tastes. Personally, I found it refreshing. Though Cort and Sejal are opposites in almost every way, each has strengths in areas the other lacks so they end up being good for each other: pretty much the definition of "partnership." And his concern for her is swoon-worthy.

Side Note #1: Hach was an ass. Even given the power differential, you don't do things in your kinky life that are rude and hurtful in your vanilla life. He should have discussed his feelings with Sejal in private and apologized: not simply handed her off as though she were a broken toy. I thought he got off easy here.

Side Note #2: Love the self-reflexivity, Ms. Carr!

4 stars. Again, I appreciated the ethnic diversity. We also got a much more closed ending than is usual in this series.

This is my first book in Lila DuBois’s BDSM Checklist series but it will not be my last. Of course, this was not my first book by this talented author.

The members of the very exclusive members Los Angles BDSM have decided to play a new game of exploring the alphabet . They are all assigned a letter of the alphabet and are expected to explore every possible BDSM item that starts with that letter.

Sejal never expected her master to give her away but Giving begins with the letter G and it is something that she listed as being okay with on her list when she joined the club a few years ago. Gags? Yes, that she remembers..

Sejal has been given to Master Cortland Dowell who is an unknown to her. Cortland Dowell has been many things in his life but the only thing that has stuck is being a good Dom. One of the first things that Master Cortland does when he is given Sejal is to make sure that she is okay with being given away despite it being something that she had checked off as being okay with on her list.

And although Sejal and Cortland seem to be opposites on paper, they click as a Master and Sub.

Once they realize how well they click, Cortland realizes how unhappy Sejal is with her bonded Master. He searches for a way to make things work. And for a way to make itlast.

The topics in this book are not for everyone since they are subjects that can make some people uncomfortable. The BDSM in this novel is safe and consensual. If BDSM is not something you are comfortable reading about, this is not a series that is for you.

I was given a copy of this novel prior to publication by the author in exchange for a fair and unbiased review. Although now having read this book, I have purchased “A is for …” to read the first book in this series.

Lila Dubois is taking her readers through the very sexy BDSM Checklist alphabet, one letter at a time.

The entire BDSM Checklist series takes place at Las Palmas, LA's most exclusive BDSM club. To keep its membership from becoming complacent, its overseers have announced the BDSM Checklist game, and every member is assigned a letter of the alphabet, with its corresponding items to be thoroughly explored with one's partner(s).

G Is For... introduces us to Sejal and Cortland. Sejal's bonded master determines that rather than exploring their letter together, he will mark off the "given away to another Dom" item on the list, and presents her to Master Cortland for the duration of the game. Once he confirms that Sejal is willing, Cortland commits to giving Sejal an incredible weekend--as a Dom, he takes his responsibility for his sub's care and pleasure very seriously.

Sejal has been unsatisfied in her D/s relationship for some time now, and this time with Cortland throws into sharp relief just how different a good D/s relationship can be from what she has, and how meaningful and nourishing that can be for both parties when both are committed to each other's well being.

Ms Dubois's story is arousing and exciting as well as moving and sweet. Sejal and Cortland find that their connection extends beyond the physical, and we root for them to find their way to happiness outside of the confines of their letter!

Cortland Dowell and Dr Sajel Barsar on paper aren't really a good fit other than he's a Dom and she's a sub. Cort is so taken by Sajel but feels he doesn't deserve her. She's so accomplished and he hasn't stayed with any one thing for very long except being a Dom. He's forgetful and she's all about details. She's clinical and he's empathetic and caring. .She's bonded to another but has been given to Cort for the weekend. They are playing one of Las Palmas' games and have been assigned the letter G. Being "given away" falls into the G list. Almost immediately Cort fulfills Sajel's need to submit, her need not to have to make decisions. With him she can give up control. What ensues is a weekend that fills her submissive soul. Something thats been lacking over the past year. Cort manages to breakdown her reserve and make her truly cared for and cherished. His gentle spirit and ability to draw out her feelings and emotions give her a long delayed, much needed emotional release

Long before the weekend is over she realizes how unhappy she has become and decides to end her bonded relationship even if she and Cort don't work out. But, they end the weekend making a commitment to one another

G is my favorite letter. Great Read!!

G is my favorite letter of the alphabet. Holy moly Author, L. DuBois sure did light the fires at LA top club. We are sure lucky to be there to see Master Dowell and sub Sejal as they play the overseer's new game. Ever wonder about fantasy and real life. If you dream it will it happen. Hum.... Let me share just a wee bit ~cause I am not one to give a storyline away. Bonded couples normally are not separated in this game the overseer is now playing. But this time, circumstances change and Sejal, who was bonded was given away for the weekend. See... letter G. But there is more of so much more. The overseers know so much about so many. It's like they are the best matchmaker ever or the Grand Masters...oh no that's another book. This book had best to the 20th degree and believe me I am handing it off to my Hubs to read. But it also has humor and romance and yes there is even a sad bit. I've read them all. This series so far, it's my favorite couple and I hope we get peeks of them in later "letters" as our author takes us through the alphabet.

This is my first Checklist book, and now I’ll have to go back and make sure I read the beginning of the alphabet. Totally a unique way of play at the Las Palmas exclusive BDSM club.

Sejal is currently with a Dom, however, she has not been happy for a long time, her Dom decides to ‘give her away’ since that is the current assigned. Master Cort is the Dom she is given to, without her knowledge. Their journey begins, as they become immersed in the game, barriers are crossed that will have drastic consequences.

Sometimes, all you need is that someone to make you break down and face the truth. Especially when that person makes you feel like the submissive you’ve always wanted to be. Sejal and Master Cort took us on a wild ride as they explored as many items they could that began with the letter G. Very enjoyable story, very sexy, had its share of drama and funny moments as well, I recommend it!

I've read several of Ms. DuBois' books and can say that I have enjoyed every one. Whether it is her single titles or her collaborations, I just don't want it to end. And when it does, I am straight shot looking for the next one. As for this one, I started it, read it during breaks, lunches and now it's done. Cannot wait for the next one. But about this book:

The Overseer's decided to shake up the Member of this is exclusive BDSM club with the Alphabet game. Next up is the letter "G". And the Players for this one is Cortland Dowell and Dr Sajel Barsar and all about the letter "G". The letters that start with G are all just part of the game. However "Given Away" is exactly how it starts for Sajal. She was given away to Courtland that is. And playing this game is really going to shake her up. By the end of this game she is going to be exactly where she want's to be.

Enjoyed it and cannot wait for the next letter up, "H".

Having not read the previous books in this series I came into it with my new found love of Lila Dubois and she DID NOT disappoint!

This book was sexy from the start. I loved learning about Sejal and her idiosyncrasies. We all have quirks and triggers but we see how they affect both Sejal and Cort in this book. I really liked hearing about Cort's insecurities, you often don't hear a lot about a man's insecurities until they mess up but Cort knows a lot about himself and is willing to own up to what he believes are his shortcomings.

This is a quick read but a wonderful read. There is a lot of teasing and dirty, sexy play but it's all worth it at they end. Two people who wouldn't have met up with other in "normal" circumstances meet and thrive based on their BDSM relationship. It's a beautiful thing.

I will be going back and reading the previous books in the series as soon as I'm able.

The Overseers have done it again. I loved Sejal and Cortland. I felt so sorry for Sejal with what she had to suffer through with her master that I was all for her to be "given away" to another Dom, as all the previous Doms in this series have been abso-freaking-lutely fantastic. It was refreshing to find that Sejal and Cortland's lives outside of Las Palmas were completely opposite of their roles inside the club. Even though Cort is a great Dom, his ditsy, forgetful personality makes him an even more lovable character ( but at times his self doubt was annoying ). The story is one surprise after another and I totally loved the epilogue.

I am not sure where the author is going to take the Letter H but Hachiro Sato is not on my list of likable characters as this story concludes and I look forward to seeing what Master Khan and Bland have in store for the next letter.

Sejal belongs to Las Palmas along with her Master Sato. The club has a new game where everyone and their partner is assigned a letter and they must explore the items on the BDSM checklist that start with the letter. The letter Sejal and Sato draw is "G" and the first item is "given away". Sato gives Sejal away to Dom Cortland Dowell so he can participate in "H".

This is the first of the BDSM Checklist books that I have read. The book was amazing! I loved the idea of exploring things that are out of one's comfort zone. I liked how Sejal and Court clicked and how their relationship developed. I need to go back and get A - E.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!!

I like others in this series of short stories a lot more than this one. It's not bad but there is nothing that makes this a stand-out story. I quite like Sejal the confident Doctor and the discontented switch, but was irritated by all the male personae, none of whom had any depth of character, and all of whom seemed to have major hang-ups of one sort or another. The other disappointment was the limited options for the letter G- the Glider was intriguing but the rest of the options seem a bit limited and the overall story lacked bite.
Don't get me wrong, the sex scenes are well written and some are very erotic. The writing is fluid and an easy and enjoyable read. I will buy the next of the series but I am hoping it is more like the earlier episodes in this series.

I really liked how these two clicked so perfectly, right from the start! Sejal was so confused, but so in tune with everyone, that she needed Cort to balance herself out. He is very clearly an empath that picks up on her subtle, and not so subtle clues. The heat he brings by doing this, super sexy, and completely on-point. As Sejal works out her issues, she shows Cort that she thinks he is worth everything to her. He badly needs this, after a lifetime of being made to feel less

Our wonderfully submissive heroine needs a place to fit, and our sexy Dom needs to be felt worthy, and they give that to each other in a way no-one else in their lives every have. And the crackling electric attraction between, that is an amazing bonus!

I have enjoyed all the BDSM Checklist series so far by author Lila Dubois and G is for...is no exception. I devoured this book in one sitting and I really liked the hero in this story. Cort is not your typical alpha Dom which I really liked; he had flaws and also showed a tender and caring side when he was with Sejal. Sure, he was all Dom during their sex scenes which was totally hot, but he did not come off as overbearing. I loved the connection between Cort and Sejal in such a short time, Cort’s take-charge attitude with the Dom that gave her away and the way their relationship continued to develop. Another great story in this series and I cannot wait for the next one.

G is for...
Cort and Sejal. Cort is the fisrt Dom I read about who is not exsude self assurance. He have not a great self estime. A bit of a turn off for me, but also, I thought that he was more realistic because of his doubts. And he is very confident as a Dom. I liked very much the glider!!

This series is very interesting. Kudos for the writer who is able to create very different characters for each book. Even if I read all the books (from A to G) in one shot, every character kept his or her particularities. Very rare for my experience. I hope some of the next will be about menage. *wink*

Sejal is a submissive whose master has been neglecting her and has started forcing her to take on the role of a top. This has pushed her into becoming a switch, something she doesn't want. During the checklist game, she is "given away" to another master who allows her to fully embrace her submissive role. This experience leads her to question whether she wants to remain bonded to a neglectful dominant.

L. DuBois does it again!! Ive been such a huge fan of this series by her from the very beginning. Eagerly waiting for the next book. And she doesnt disappoint!!

The perfect princess in Sejal and the royal screw up in Cortland. Their dichotomy only enhances their attraction! When Cortland goes into Dom-mode, its a pure panty soaker. Poor guy just needs to get out of his own head! And Sejal...her OCD for perfection and her own personal issues both made me giggle and wanna punch Hach in the face!

Seriously. You wont be disappointed!!!!!! READ IT!

📚I am honestly and voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book 📚
This is one of my favorite series and Lila is one of my favorite authors. After reading the last book, I was trying to imagine what G might be, and never thought of Given Away. Courtland and Sejal are well written, compelling characters both are struggling emotionally, both are working through some huge decisions, and both are open and caring. I love all the couples at Las Palmas, but these two are really special. Can’t wait for H!!!!

L Dubois adds another fantastic book to the BDSM Checklist series. L Dubois creatively takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance of one's self in the eyes of a submissive that has never truly submitted until she is 'given away' to a caring and compassionate Dom. Cortland finds himself wanting permanence through Sejal's submission. The path to Sejal and Cortland's HEA is a thrill ride of emotions and challenges bringing them to the realization they are a perfect match at Las Palmas and worth pursuing a relationship in their every day world.

I absolutely love these books! You don't have to read them in order but I would recommend that you do. Every time I wonder how Ms. Lila will figure out enough things for that letter but she pulls it off time and again. "G" is super sexy and thrilling. It went places that some people might find extreme and it is definitely on the fringes of the lifestyle which makes it fun to explore the fantasy in a book. I can't wait to read H. Just please no Horses yikes! lol!!

I love Lila Dubois and everything she writes so it shouldn't be any surprise that I love L Dubois' BDSM Checklist books -- this is my first but will not be my last in the series.

Sejal and Cortland are a great couple and I love how the story developed. If you enjoy your kink with love and laughter thrown in, you need to read this book! I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and am so glad that I did; now I just need to go back and read the earlier letters.

I love this author and all her books. I was provided an ARC of this book for a fair and honest review, and I also bought the book for my library. This book provides a somewhat different insight into a Dom than most Dom/Sub books. This Dom is a kinder, gentler soul in opposition to most Doms portrayed as tough as nails guys. He has doubts, thinks things through, and explains himself to his Sub more so than any other I have read about.

I loved the book, and you will also!

After not having the relationship Sejal wanted from her master can she get through a weekend game where she won't get what she needs? We will see what happens when Master Dowell enters the picture and what happens when they have to try all of the G acts the club wants them to. This well written book from L. DuBois takes you on an adventure at Las Palmas where you will see every type of fantasy acted out. Come join the dark side.

And we're back in the middle of the Checklist game!
This story has an unusual constellation. A sub wanting more and getting less of what she wants, a Dom who takes not much else but domming seriously, and a letter that presents an out for one and an in for another.
Cryptic I know!
But without giving to much away, this is a tale about changes for all involved. They have to, literally, adhere to the letter of the contract, to get a positive ending!

Holy cow is this book hot. Cort is given Sejal from her Dom as part of the alphabet games. They are given the letter "G" which is why she was given away. There is some major heat between these two and I love how Cort is willing to listen to Sejal and gets her to open up.

I think another "G" should be great orgasms.

G is for

One of the reasons I really like the Checklist series is the author's ability to write intense erotica, which at the same time explores the deeper meanings in BDSM relationships. At the same time, I'm beginning to wonder whether there will be other combinations than male dom + female sub. I would like that very much!

G is for Great Addition to this Series

This is my favorite BDSM series ever, and as always, this is a great addition to the series. Ms. DuBois has a knack for writing hot, sexy scenes that push the envelope and yet never cross the line into gratuitous titillation. There's always redemption and romance woven somewhere into the design.
