Since the early 1980s, psychological research regarding sexual orientation has seen explosive growth. In this book, a companion volume to the editors' Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Identities over the Lifespan, the editors bring together contributors to offer an overview of what we have discovered - and what we still need to learn - about the families of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals.
If you're interested in gay people's experiences with family (and to a lesser extent friends) in the 1990s, a few chapters in here might be worth the read. Otherwise, it's a bit dated.
