Translation: I like this so much. I can't wait for another book. I liked the fish mobile and when everyone helped Wanda. They had alot of fun. I hope you read it too.

Arely and I read this together. I am never a fan of these formulaic books that are written for young people, but the kids seem to really enjoy them. I would rather read Magic School Bus over other types of books like these though, such as goosebumps, etc. There is some good educational information in this book about the ocean and sharks, but overall it is not a story that excites and sometimes I felt like I was just reading the works but not absorbing the story to get through it. Arely seemed to enjoy it but didn't seem really excited about.

91 page Branches early chapter book. Large print with black and white illustrations on every page. Science vocabulary is defined by Dorothy Ann as usual and the students all work together to learn and solve the problem. These books aren't packed with extra information sidebars like the picture books were.

The 4 stars rating is from my boys: 6 and 4. This magic school bus chapter book was really enjoyed by my kids. I think this series is along the lines of the Wildkrats tv show: entertaining but informational. I won’t mark every book I read in a series, but want to make note of the ones we try, as reading more advanced material with my kids is a priority to me :)

Ms. Frizzle takes the class from Walkerville (which is in the middle of winter) to sunny Hawaii for a field trip for the day. The kids are all playing and having fun on the beach, except Wanda. She is trying to save a fish from a shark. Can she save the fish? Can she save herself?
This book talks about endangered fish and they work together to protect one another.

91 pages. I read 4 chapters/35 pages. It was typical Magic School Bus kind of story/dialogue. Lots of science sprinkled in there. Kids will like it. I will probably buy the whole chapter book series. Recommended for Grades 3-5.

I really liked this book. Liked it sort of like I I like the Magic Treehouse books. They had a lot of vocab word that were really good. Also my daughter loves the Magic School bus so there is that too!

There's a particular style of awful kids book that is basically just screen shots from a tv show and a novelized version of the script. This is exactly that. The new show doesn't hold a candle to the classic, and the new books absolutely stink compared to the old ones!
