Vatican Knights #14

The Devil's Magician

Rate this book
It’s said that when the world isn’t right, a man steps out of the shadows of St. Peter’s Basilica to make it whole again.

He is the priest who is not a priest.

He’s an angel to some and a demon to others.

But in the Middle East he is known by another name:

. . . The Devil’s Magician . . .

When a cardinal is taken captive by an ISIS faction in Damascus, a team of Vatican Knights is dispatched to secure the cardinal’s release. But having been ambushed and taken hostage themselves, only one man can bring them out. After Kimball Hayden walked away from the church months before, he is summarily called to duty by Vatican principals to rescue his team. But as Kimball works in the Dark to serve the Light, he discovers the truth behind the ambush and follows the trail of the betraying source directly to the Vatican.

It was a captivating plot that had some nice twists along the way. The amount of Kimball as a loss sole was dialed down in this book. So that helped.

This is Rick Jones’s 14th Vatican Knights book and the series shows no signs of slowing down.
Kimball Hayden has walked away from the church as the redemption he so desperately craves remains just out of his reach. Circumstances conspire against the Vatican and they seek their former main man out to ask for his help in resolving a hostile situation.

This is yet another thrilling read from the consistently brilliant Rick Jones. How he remains so prolific whilst maintaining the extremely high standard he reached early on is beyond me.

Keep them coming, Rick. You’re too good to stop

Awesome series!

I jus found this series a few months ago. I've been thrilled with each book in the series . Can't put them down. Along the same genre as Clive Cussler type books, but... sooooooo much better! Can't wait to try Rick Jones's other series!

Another Great Vatican Knight

I enjoy reading about this unbelievable team of assassins managed by the Vatican. A less whining by Kimball this time which was good. Looking forward to the next one.

Another action-packed novel in the series. The story: Catholics are kidnapped by Muslims, held hostage for lots of money, the VKs attack, our boy saves the day, the bad guys get it, thought Kimball leaves one alive. Fun, quick, and easy reads.

Predictable

What i mean by predictable, Rick Jones does it again. I'm
about to start reading the series over. It's that good. Move over C.J. Box as my new favorite writer. Awesome.
