Wow, this was a crazy story as far as Amish fiction goes. Six people, three Amish and three Englisch all come together for NEW BEGINNINGS. But when the story ends, the numbers are changed. Rebecca and Noah are in love and are going to married. When Noah is at the end of his running around time, he goes to a party and meets an Englisch girl and now his whole life is thrown upside down and the same can be said for Rebecca. Once I started reading this interesting story I could not stop. The ending blew me away and I had tears in my eyes and a huge lump in my throat! The characters are all believable and easy to like and feel for. The emotions in the story reach out and draw you right in!

I really enjoyed this story. Somethings things aren’t what they seem. This story showed how important it is to talk honestly with one’s partner and family too. I loved how the lives of the side characters were also included alongside the main character and we end up hearing about what happened in their lives too. A sweet romance.

It centers around 6 college age people. Pail and his sister, Rebecca, and Rebecca's fiance, Noah, are Amish. McKenna, Penny and Gavin are not. Their lives intermingle many times over and after a friendly hug and peck on the cheek is misinterpreted, several relationships are left in the balance until emotions are brought into check and the truth is brought to light. Add to that parents with drug abuse and anger issues and people second guessing the faith (or lack there of) that they were brought up with, and you have a very interesting and intriguing book.

A New Beginning is a wonderful story written by Beth Wiseman. This story had me experiencing so many emotions. I loved the storyline and how it played out. This story definetly makes me think of the verse, "With God all things are possible." When you reach the epilogue of this story you will understand.

I loved all the fantastic characters that the author brought into this story. They were definitely realistic and loveable. There were a few times when I thought a couple of the characters were going down the wrong path but God had other plans and changed their direction. The descriptions were so amazing I could picture what they all looked liked and what the girls were wearing.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached by anyone to post a favorable review. I have rated this story with 5 stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to anyone who loves the Amish genre. I will be anticipating more fantastic stories by this author in the future. I love her style of writing.

Congratulations to Beth Wiseman on releasing another fantastic story for her readers to enjoy.

I always enjoy reading books by this author. I loved this quick read, and all the characters involved. I’m kind of amazed that she writes as though so many young adult Englishers are already Christian in her books including ones that don’t seem like they would be —I would think that in this day and age that would be the exception rather than the rule. But she makes it work! I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Too many characters for a short story. I felt like this would have been flawless as a novel so more character traits and development could be experienced. Some lack of character understanding, probably just due to it being only 100 pages, left some bits of the story being petty and slightly irritating. However, it wrapped up beautifully. The ending was wonderful and left much to take from.
