Random read while travelling, I finished 85 chapters in a day man! And completed rest the next day. It's cute, sweet, normal slice of life, two random people get married (cause of some social experiment ,ha!) but eventually grow together as a person, as couple, overcome insecurities, and just live! With some really good side characters, people whom we say in daily life, pretty relatable! (Not your typical rom-com, but something realistic, decent) The art is light and neat.
Tauk deh 😬
Ceritanya agak mirip dengan Love And Lies sih kalo ngga salah.
Baiklah. Lanjutannya nunggu live actionnya saja ☺️
Reviewing chapters/episodes 1-9. I'm reading translated scans, I think, so I'm kind of relying on the table of contents of the volumes being included to determine where to chunk the chapters for review.
This is so unbelievably cute. Himari is absolutely adorable, and seeing her get so excited about new things and doing her best at them is so precious. Aki is a good dude, and the way that his perspective is portrayed is so well done. Seeing the change from just marrying for work to actually wanting to support Himari as a partner, yassss.
The art is fantastic. Colors are a bit muted, but it's fitting.
The Uemura family is nice and they're providing a consistent source of socialization for Himari, but it's a bit frustrating that Takumi continuously acts out and is just rewarded for it by others apologizing or coddling him.
So far, definitely not liking Waka/Kawa(?; her name was translated both ways in two different chapters so I don't know). The gall of introducing herself to Himari the way she did. What a jerk.
A story filled with compassion towards every struggling person, showing how to find joy by building connections with everyone around us. Sweet, but doesn't avoid exploring the many problems of modern relationships.
It would be great if it were not for the lack of structure; the plot tends to lack tension, and it meanders and repeats itself quite a lot.
If you are into sweet stuff, beware this might be the reason for diabetes. Sweet as shit. No complications. Reason for 4 stars. I needed this kind of cute, sweet shit.
a very cute, wholesome story of two different people that felt alone in the world, but get together thanks to a government program pairing NEETs with public officials. They soon fall for each other and even make friends and build a community that brings bountiful joy to their lives.
