Is the whole landscape around Avebury some type of enormous seasonal ritual tableau? This is just that bit too far-fetched to really hit home: an interesting idea is stretched way beyond the point of credulity.
Fascinating but very advanced. The author assumes the reader is already an expert in neolithic religious symbolism and doesn't explain basic concepts fully. Therefore, charts of measurements between stones don't mean a lot to someone like me who doesn't understand their significance.
