This book has a very good message to send to younger children, at first when I started to read the story to my reception class I began to get a little worried. The book is about a young girl named Gracie Grabbit who's father, Mr Grabbit, is a robber that takes things from people (which the book states is very naughty). As the story goes on you begin to learn that Gracie wants her Dad to stop being naughty and leave peoples things alone. To help her do this she gets the tiger, in the zoo that they visit for the day, to give her dad a telling off. In the end Gracie's Dad gives everything back to the right people and comes to realise how nice it is to give people their things back and vows never to steal again. I really enjoyed this story because it showed the children that taking things that do not belong isn't a nice thing to do, but the story did it in a light hearted, funny way which is brilliant for young children. The story is extremely colourful with lots of pictures that instantly capture the children's attention and hold their attention for the entire story. A brilliant story with a great message to give all children. Age: 4-6
