It's always good to have a solid understanding of legacy code and upgrades, especially in the fast-paced world of technology.

The author's expertise is definitely a strong point of the book, and it's clear that he has a talent for explaining complex concepts in an approachable way.

Overall, I recommend it to others who are interested in learning C# 7.0.

Although I read the C# 10.0 All-In-One for Dummies book last year, I am finding that I still have to support some legacy code, and/or upgrade it to 10.0, so it is a good book to learn still.

I used this book mainly to systemize the base for my (quite sporadic and non-even) C# programming knowledge. This book did the required work, and I actually think it's quite good for a real beginner since it's starting from the very basic concepts spending necessary time on non-obvious things and peculiarities that a novice could easily miss. I found my "aha!" moments in almost every chapter besides the the last (application) part which I decided to skip after quickly skimming through.

Overall that's a good introductory book for learning C# basics.

Helpful to understand some core concepts and basics. You really need other learning material and hands on practice to understand true programming logic and to help you learn how to troubleshoot your own problems, but this is a great learning aide.
