This is a story about how we are all able to unlock the gates of Heaven, no matter how unworthy we think we are. We can make miracles happen in our lives and in the lives of others.
A father seeks help from a wise old man in the village to help heal his son from a debilitating illness. When the wise old man's prayers are stopped at heaven's gates he seeks the assistance of seven thieves in the village to help him unlock heavens gates. An interesting look at how the power of intercession prayer works when all else seems to fail.
Illustrations are terrific. The story is nice, but a little pat and predictable. Don't know why I didn't feel that way about other fairy tales I've been reading lately, but this one felt that way.
