About the author

Billy Graham was an American evangelical Christian evangelist and an ordained Southern Baptist minister. Graham is best known for his evangelistic missions or “Crusades.” He believed God knew no borders or nationalities. Throughout his career, Graham preached to millions around the world. He met and prayed with every U. S. president from Dwight Eisenhower to Barack Obama.

Graham authored 34 books, including his memoir, Just As I Am. In 1983, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Ronald Reagan. In 1996, Graham and his wife, Ruth, received the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest award Congress can bestow on a private citizen.

Graham married Wheaton College classmate Ruth Bell Graham in 1943. They had five children ( Ruth Graham, Gigi Graham Tchividjian, Anne Graham Lotz, Nelson, & Franklin Graham) and made their home in the mountains of North Carolina. They were married for 64 years before Ruth’s death in 2007. Graham died from natural causes on February 21, 2018, at his home in Montreat, North Carolina, at the age of 99.

I was really into the Christmas books this season and it is a tradition I plan to maintain. I enjoyed this one very much. I love being reminded of why we observe Christmas and this book was perfect.

Love how the were telling Jesus is your Redeemer.
He is the reason for Christmas. He came down and was man just to let all the people here be saved by the Redeemer.
The Lord allowed him to be crucified knowing HE could save His son. But did not.
God is love. He is the ONLY way from this troubled world.

This book was a wonderful collection of poems, small devotionals, pieces of articles from Decision magazine. Lots of things to give Christmas a whole new meaning. Wonderful book and will now be a centerpiece of my Christmas celebrations.

I learned that Christmas has been so ecconomically overdone. This Christmas I told all three of my kids, not to get us anything. I wanted them to take the money and spend it on their kids.

I enjoyed sitting in our cozy library on Christmas Eve to read this little book. It felt kind of like having my own personal Christmas Eve service. I especially appreciated reading the words of a variety of Christmas carols interspersed throughout the book, as well as some poetry by Ruth Graham. There were a couple of thoughts and insights that stood out to me as profound too, along with just plenty of good reminders of what Christmas is all about.

What a heart warming book of the meaning of Christmas. It was excellently written with excerpts from the bible. Made me think of things that I have forgotten about and what really is important in life. A great read before the Christmas holiday.

Beautiful Christmas Book! This book reminds us what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. It's not the parties, the baking or buying presents, its about the precious birth of Jesus. Book has wonderful stories, Bible readings, beautiful holiday pictures and even Christmas songs!
