Despite the publication date listed as 1990, some of the information here seems dated and confusing/misleading. While I certainly wouldn't argue that a lionfish is dangerous, I'd be somewhat reluctant to classify seals and sea lions as "traumatogenic". The fact of the matter is that any animal could potentially be traumatogenic. If a fish slaps me upside the head, that's traumatogenic, right? anyway... nice pictures though. And a bare minimum of information (geographic range, cladology, and overwrought warnings about how potentially dangerous the animals are).
"Dangerous Marine Animals" (The Third Edition) by Bruce W. Halstead, M.D. is a great work of reference. Loving the taste of particular eels, I found the information on the Green Moray to be interesting in that, they are fair-eaten in the West Indies.
I have also read (and especially recommend) his book "Poisonous and Venomous Marine Animals of the World", this book is much more thorough and even includes history dating back to Aristotle's attempt to classify poisonous marine animals.
