An incredible journey. Jumpin Jack Frost details the good, bad, and ugly events of his life intertwined with the genesis and rise of Drum N Bass in the UK and abroad. The rough and tumble hard knock life of a West Indian bred Brixton boy clawing his way up the ladder to success and acclaim one rung at a time. From knocking out and robbing people to get by to sharing the stage with Roni Size and Reprazent claiming the Mercury Prize Award, liaisons with various females and key figures of the international music community. Indeed, this book and its actual tales are sticky. However, Jumpin Jack Frost lives for the music and continues to contribute to the Art Form to the day.

Frost is a legend, so obviously I was keen to find out more. It took a minute to adjust to his style of writing, as I had been reading very different books previously in the run up, but once I got used to it, I loved his story. I’d recommend this book if like me, you’re a rave nerd that loves the oldskool vibe and all that came with it.

One of my DJing heroes of our DnB era. What a life as well. The book lived up to my expectations, not a 5 star but very interesting, especially if you're a lover of the DJ music scene.

Although he had a ghost writer helping him, you can really hear Frost's own voice, together with those of his friends and family. Found the end particularly touching.
