I am impressed with how this book manages to cover a wide range of outdoors activities, while exploring them in just enough depth to be interesting regardless of whether the particular topic is already your 'thing'. If you already do pretty much all typical outdoors activities, maybe this book isn't for you, but if you do one or two things and want to do more - then this is exactly the book for you. Now, the only problem I have, is that I want to do pretty much everything mentioned in the book! This is only a very small problem though - because one of the book's strengths is how it presents how easy it is to get started in the activities covered.

One topic I wasn't expecting to be covered was festivals. I live in Leeds, so I associate the word festival with loud, massive music festivals and not really an 'outdoorsy' activity. However, it is the sections such as these that you are least familiar with that give the freshest inspiration. Looks like there are many other type of festivals, and I am interested to explore that route. Also, turns out I didn't really know what smore was, but now I do, and now I must try one. Also, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and more wild swimming.

Enjoyable book, fun and inspirational, and now I think I really need to buy a drying robe.

A really great read for any woman (or anyone else that wants to read it) that wishes to be more adventurous and go outdoors more. From water sports to crafts, this book has plenty of suggestions to make you fitter, happier and at one with nature.

It’s a wonderful beginner’s guide with lots of different sections and things to try out. My favourite section was the first section which was about outdoor sports such as climbing, swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, mountain biking, kayaking etc. The best kind of sports if you ask me. The author also gives you many tips and tricks on things like changing a inner tube on a bike and the best advice to a woman going travelling by herself.

Overall a quick and interesting read for anyone wanting to get out there.

The photography in this book is just stunning. The layout is gorgeous and easy to read. Lots of broad information but will require more in depth reading if any activities pique your interests. Wish I had read this in my twenties.
