Watchers started my love for Dean Koontz. All his books are wonderful. One bookshelf in my house is dedicated to just him lol. I love the suspense, but we always know the good guys win ;). It seems he can make any story into a bestseller. He's got the thrillers with a psychological twist, straight up horror, suspense, and some comic relief. In my opinion he's one of the best authors today.

Dean Koontz was recommended to me by a friend after I told her how I am a fan of Stephen King. I really liked this book and highly recommend it to those who share an interest towards this genre (or happen to be a fan of Stephen King, their writing is eerily similar). In the beginning, the reader meets four different characters, an ex-navy seal, a seclusive woman, a hit man and a detective. All of their lives soon intertwine when two genetically engineered creatures; a supremely intelligent canine and a freak of science, escape from a government war-weapon lab and threaten the safety of the public. With unexpected turns and sub-plots throughout the story, Koontz creates a unique and suspenseful novel that I truly enjoyed. I cannot wait to read more of his books in the future.

Read it on flight back from China ... Needed something that moved fast and this did. It was ok but not my favorite Koontz. Lots of military and government conspiracy plots which don't interest me.
