I have been riding for about 4 years so this book is a bit late in the game for me. However I got a horse a few months back and I found the book really informative in regards to vetting and feeding. Very clearly written and detailed! Easy to read and understand.
Trusty info; in pursuit of a therapeutic hobby. A before B, if you will. Turns out the horse is historically a prey animal, which explains why they are notoriously inclined to thee ol' spook'n-dart one-two.
I'm not really the target audience for this book--I'm not planning on ever owning a horse or even riding one often, but I have horse-loving friends and wanted to learn more--but it's clear, engagingly-written and informative.
This book was basic and provided alot of the same information as Horseback Riding for Dummies. There are still different things I hadn't read though. Good book.
