Craig Ringwalt Thompson (b. September 21, 1975 in Traverse City, Michigan) is a graphic novelist best known for his 2003 work Blankets. Thompson has received four Harvey Awards, two Eisner Awards, and two Ignatz Awards. In 2007, his cover design for the Menomena album Friend and Foe received a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package.

I think this was an important read to understand how much he's changed yet how much's still the same!

Just a minor collection of experiments and half-baked ideas. Includes the first appearance of Chunky Rice. Cute, some funny dialogue, but quite mean-spirited at times. For completists only.

I'm entirely too charmed by Craig Thompson's works. His art is beautiful, as are his stories (which I've found rare in works of people who do both the art and the story for a graphic novel). This one is no exception.
