Davina Fletcher has a comfortable life and a comfortable boyfriend, until the death of her uncle turns it all on its head. The heir to the estate turns out to be tall, dark, and handsome Jay Prescott, an American lawyer with a taste for Davina's paintings - and soon for Davina herself.

Sex sex sex.. 90% of these book was sex.. Wich was great! But I miss the romantic aspect of the story. The final was abrupt and for me a bit unreal. I couldn't see the emotional connection of the characters develop throught the book.
I bought this book over 10 yr ago and loved it then. I’ve read it a number of times since, but not in the last 8. I love this book every time I read it. It is just a great story of Devina awakening and finding out what she wants.
Devina is an artist with passion, but she doesn’t have passion in her own life. Jay, who inherits her uncle’s estate, becomes Devina’s landlord, with some unusual “rent” provisions in her uncle’s Will.
It turns out Jay is full of passion, but doesn’t have or want love in his life.
There are 4 other characters in the story, all who play crucial roles in coaxing the deep passion Devina has, and the deep love Jay rejects, to the surface. It’s a wild ride for both Devina and Jay.
None of these characters are simple, except maybe the soon to be Ex boyfriend. And the book delivers a pretty clear perspective from each character.
I’ve read a number of Author Anderson’s books, each is insightful in its own way. I have read that Marina Anderson had a passionate relationship with David Carandine, a complicated person in his own right. I’m sure that relationship helped inform Author Anderson, to the readers great benefit.
There are two different covers for this book. I don’t know if there are any differences. I read the other book. This version has been much more reviewed and rated.
This was for me a terrific book. I read in the other reviews complaints about too much sex. There needed to be a lot, but it’s far from vanilla or boring. The story is about awakening passion in all areas of Devina’s life and Jay’s. It’s not easy or straightforward. For me, it was a revelation.
5 Solid and Insightful Stars. I will read this book again with great interest.
Like I’ve said before: the cover is different on the book I’ve read, but I consider it good. Is a lot of sex and not what I will ever want to experience, but is good to understand that point of view. Super easy read and entertaining
Took me a while to read due to me being in early stages of pregnancy n having bad morning sickness n being tired. Also very annoyed I can't do any reading as wen I do it makes me feel even more sick. Nut any way I did very much enjoy reading this book.
i loved it. we all hv fantasies. jay Prescott wanted to play games, and she had no choice but to play along. we would all like to play these games, but we can say no if we choose.but would we. i couldn't put it down,
Maybe i missed the point of this book but i find it to be an erotic novel trying to be a romance novel and failing.
Here's what i loved: The sex, the bitchiness, the kinky foreplay, the sex, the domineering american and the sex. It was great with all the sex scenes and that he was trying to care in his own way.
What i didn't love: They met whilst both with other people, cheated on these people, had slept together 3 times and then got married, he was cold, arrogant, presumptuous and rude, she would of naturally fled as quickly as possible instead she allowed herself to be used repeatedly and it made her feel crap yet she went back for more.
The book appeared to be a kink fest to begin with however right at the end when his friends interfere it's so unlike what would happen, the conversation and situation seemed awkward and unrealistic, the fact he'd be willing to allow the ex's to set up home in his property or that Pattie would be happy with Phil didn't seem true, it just felt overall like the beginning and middle of this book were brilliant but the ending wasn't thought through very well.
Davina is all about comfortable, safe with her comfortable boyfriend she sees on the weekends, living in the cottage on her uncles estate. That changes when her uncle unexpentantly dies leaving his estate to handsome, sexy American lawyer, Jay. The begin a journey which sees Davina introduced to a world far from safe and comfortable and she is pushed betyond anything she could have imagined in the hope that she would not only come into herself but ultimately win Jays heart. Was an OK read for me, the plot was believable which sometimes in Andersons books I find the storylines can be a stretch to get my head around but this one worked. Jay was definitely HOT and the sex scenes were too I think maybe I just needed a little more depth to the characters to give it a higher rating.
Reprinted to cash in on the 50 shades boom, this is okay, even though it looks like a reject from Mills and bloom. The opening is weak, with the main characters entire life history given to us in a couple of pages (all irrelevent), but its decently written.
Marina Anderson has done it again!Every time I read one of her books,i have trouble putting it down."legacy of desire" is such an easy read.Very enlightening. The main character Davina is very likeable. The hero Jay,is a bit arrogant at first, but the more you get to know him,the more likeable he is.
Legacy of Desire is one of the BEST erotica books I've read this year! Davina and Jay are two characters who will stay with you till the very last page and even beyond reading! Legacy of Desire is erotic, sexy and temptingly delish!
