i spent so many hours and so many tears on this book so it gets to go on my goodreads. written awfully. the writers are good at nothing other than being snarky from time to time. two stars bcus some of the images are nice and i ❤️ chemistry.
I loved this book at times, at other times trying to get the info i needed was like drawing water from a stone.
Why are nucleon u weights in chapter 2, when a student would have no idea what it means or why its important, but they're listed nowhere in the nuclear chemistry chapter when you need them to calculate mass defect??
Also chapters 15/16 could easily be condensed. 15 became long winded on a relatively simple concept. The space used would have been better applied towards beefing up the chapter on electrochemtistry or solid state stuff.
Excellent college Chemistry textbook! The examples are great and there are many practice problems for each chapter. And if you get the software too, there are tutorials and animations which are very helpful.
