Excellent introduction to Puppet v5. I can't stress enough how well-written, easy to read and well-paced this book is - it's just a breeze to read through.

I've learn Puppet v3 empirically and this book has helped me transition to v5, as well as fill in all the knowledge gaps I had, especially where Hiera was involved.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to any novice Puppet user.

Decent, but written for people who’ve never learned a programming language - true, absolute beginners. For anyone who has done anything with anything with a programming I their life, sections of the book are unnecessary and parts come across as condescending, but I recommend not skipping those parts as important information is buried in the dross.
