Fantastic physiology book with great illustrations and accompanying pictures of the human body (included several sets of cadavers). This book feels very easy to understand despite not being a physician student myself. I highly recommend anyone to read it if you ever like to dwelve deeper within the many worlds that our body inhibits. Its a thick and dense book, so it will keep you busy for quite some time!

Read this for my Basic Human Physiology course it was fairly good with a bit of confusion in throughly explaining how process's worked.

Well, I learned a great deal from this book that I finished reading, but I'll have to use it again next smester. I am glad that I finished reading it and will not have to read it much in 2012. I have a reading OCD. I need to finish reading whatever I begin, so it is no wonder that I always finish reading my textbooks. Lucky me. *sarcastic tone* I love reading though, but sometimes, you just need to stop and for me, that's never an option. I am getting off topic, but this book was very useful and easy to understand.

Very informative and I liked all the side bar notes of interesting phenomenons or situations that have arisen. My favorite was the one where it was revealed a fetus had a tumor at the base of its spine and at 26 weeks they performed surgery. They opened the mother's womb, removed the fetus (while keeping it attached to the mother), removed the tumor and then put the fetus back into the womb to finish its development. Medically, that's just cool.

While there have been a number of new discoveries since this came out, this is a good basis and starting point for any A&P learning. I used this for my course and still keep it for reference as it allows for refreshers in areas where you may be struggling. A good starting reference book for anyone going into areas of medicine.

I've got the 11th edition of this book, packaged with the interactive DVD. Very helpful add on that allows you to test yourself. I just started this class, so I have a full year of studying this book ahead of me. Very graphic photos of the disection of cadavers.

University level textbook that takes no prisoners. From Chapter 1 this book jumps right to the business. It has all that you want to know about Anatomy& Physiology. I highly recommend this.
