Kait Nolan is my go to for sexy small town romance. Her writing is always a nice mix of fairly low angst, community charm, and a little bit of steam. This box set of 3 books for one credit is a terrific deal!
To Get Me To You kicks off the Wishful series, and while the sheer number of people introduced was a little overwhelming at first I definitely got to know all the family & residents and find myself looking forward to all their stories. Cam is cousin to Norah’s BFF and sparks immediately fly between the two. Norah uses her marketing skills to help save the charming town from probable devastation wrought by a big box store. I felt like the technical aspects & mundane meetings disrupted the flow of the story at times, but overall I enjoyed the book. I grew up in a small town in the South and could see so many familiar people and business in the town of Wishful.
Know Me Well is also a mashup of some of my favorite tropes including former military and Best Friend’s Brother/Sister’s Best Friend. Liam is now out of the Marines and back in Wishful trying to find his “new normal” in life as a civilian. Riley is self-reliant to a fault and nursing a 12 year crush on Liam. I love that we get to enjoy Liam & Riley as a couple for a big part of the story - including his need to care & protect at odds with her desire to remain independent. There are a LOT of laughs in this one, a few tears, and definitely an HEA.
Be Careful, It’s My Heart didn’t work for me as well as the other stories in the series and I’m pretty sure it’s because I have never seen White Christmas - in either its play or movie form. Since the bulk of the story revolves around the production of the play for the town of Wishful and there were a lot of references to the storyline of White Christmas, I wasn’t able to connect with it as fully as I think I would have.
That said, it’s still a cute second-chance romance. A big misunderstanding sent Brody & Tyler on separate paths years ago and a lack of communication threatens to keep them from working things out this time. Queue the positively-meddling folks of Wishful and their joined forces to save an aging theatre while simultaneously keeping Brody & Tyler from making the same mistakes.
Wishful’s quirky residents continue to remind me of the small Southern town I grew up in. I’ve already purchased Volume 2 & 3 and I’m looking forward to all their stories.
Amy McFadden does a great job of giving a unique voice to this huge cast of characters. Her voice and tone for “old Southern grandma” was especially spot on and caused me to giggle because I’m pretty sure I went to church with Mamie when I was growing up. 😉 What I love is that she’s consistent how she voices them through the series which makes these audios completely bingeable. I don’t know if McFadden color codes these folks or what, but if she does it’s definitely an impressive rainbow of voices she has in her repertoire.

Good stories but.....
I read well into the second book before I decided to give up. It was entertaining enough but drag on too long and everything was too instant love. It was too cookie cutter and needed some editing. It was like reading hallmark and usually reserve that for when I’m hanging out with my mom.

The book set is a great way to start this wonderful small town romance series that will have you wanting more and more of the lovely characters the author brings to life you every page of every book she writes. If you have not read Kait Nolan before this is the best place to start. I can happily say she is one of my favorite authors I have found in 2017 and plan to keep reading if she keeps writing. I read each of these books separately not as a box set and these are my reviews of each of the three books.
To Get Me To You: A Small Town Southern Romance (Wishful Romance Book 1).
I very much enjoyed my first Kait Nolan book and the characters and story had me interested from the start. I could not put the book down read it all in one day and fell in love with "Wishful" the small town. It was an easy read with enjoyable and humorous dialogue and characters that you felt at home with. Loved the author's style of writing and will be looking for her other books. It is a very relevant plot subject with a common problem for small towns not just in America but also in Australia where I live.
Be Careful, It's My Heart: A Small Town Southern Romance (Wishful Romance Book 2)
As I have read other books in the Wishful series so I was familiar with some of the charters already. This book is about the historical Madrigal theatre and how the community tries to save it. The last production being the “White Christmas” is the last –ditch effort in the hope of saving the theatre. Tyler Edison has decided this is the product that will bring her out of her performing retirement. She had given up acting, singing, and dancing over 8 years when Brodie Jensen left town and abandoned her.

Liam and Riley's story is just another great read in the Wishful series. Liam the hero is an ex-Marine that as protected Riley since there childhood. Riley is an independent hard working heroine. They are brought together when Liam come back home and they can't ignore the connection they both have with each other. Liam stole my heart in this book and the connection between the two is so sweet and loving to last so long apart.

The first three books in this series in a bundle, and an absolute joy to read. We are in Wishful, a charming old Southern town (complete with nosy, kind and helpful inhabitants), which is on the verge of bankruptcy and facing difficult decisions.
The first book introduces Cam, one of the town councillors fighting a losing battle to prevent a big firm coming in, which might mean workplaces but will destroy the town's historic sites and charm, and Norah, visiting her friends to lick her wounds after having been fired from her previous job (and losing her fiance with it). Together, Norah and Cam try to save the town and fight the growing attraction between them.
Brody and Tyler are next, having to work together in a musical performance to save an old theatre; they have had problems in the past, but the chemistry between them still sizzles - but Brody will leave again, will he?
Lastly, former Marine Liam and painfully independent pharmacy owner Riley; when disaster hits her struggling pharmacy, will she be able to accept Liam's help, and more?
All these stories are embedded in Wishful's and its inhabitants' continuing struggle to improve the economy without losing the charming character of the town.
So - we have protagonists with a surprising depth and problems they need to overcome, realistic and genuine, very likeable. Then good plots, brilliantly woven into a story that I found difficult to put down (just one more chapter....). Humour, heartbreak, tension - everything there.
I definitely want to read more of this author, and especially about Wishful and its inhabitants!

I have enjoyed every Wishful romance book that I have read. I received a copy of this box set from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review.
In the first book, To Get Me To You, Norah, a marketing professional, flees to Wishful Mississippi to visit her best friend after being fired from her job because she had moral objections to her company's practices. Instead of a peaceful visit, she ends up caught up in holiday activity and Cam fight against a big box store coming to town. Norah and Cam strike a friendship and sparks right away.
In, To Get Me To You, Tyler gave up theatre when Brody left town and her 8 years ago. Now, Tyler is going to perform in White Christmas to save the theatre. When Tucker gets hurt, Brody steps in to perform with Tyler. Brody would like to rekindle their relationship.
In the third book, Know Me Well, Riley is strong and independent woman who has to take care of things herself since she was a young girl. Liam has returned to town and sees the woman that Riley has become, Riley owns a small pharmacy. Now Walgreen and her dependent mother are moving back to town. Maybe having someone to occasionally help and support wouldn't be so bad, but Riley has learned not to depend on people. Liam has been trying to find his center since leaving the marines after his father died. Maybe Riley will be the one to center his world around. This is a sweet romance in a small town.
I love every trip that I make to Wishful, MS. Here you have 3 trips. You can't go wrong with the Kait Nolan series. ,

This is the first full novel in the Wishful Romance series and I absolutely loved getting to Norah and Cam find their way to each other. This book just had my emotions all over the place and it had me on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next. I can’t to read more by this author.

This is the second novel in the Wishful Romance series and you get to see Tyler Edison and Brody Jensen find their way back to each other. This book was such a quick and easy read it just had me in its grip. I truly fell in love with these characters and I felt for them. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
Know Me Well
This is the third novel in the Wishful Romance series. This book had a little bit of everything in this story. It was a beautiful story that had romance, drama, sadness, some disasters, and ultimately it ended with a happy ending. I loved Liam and Riley they just brought me into their lives and I totally fell in love with them as human beings as well as how good they are together. This book was really easy to get wrapped up in. It was a light read that just had the right amount of everything. I recommend to anyone that would like a great book to read to pick up this one you won’t be sorry.

I really enjoy any of the stories in the Wishful Romance Series. The three in this volume, give you an introduction to a number of the people and families in town. Each can be read separately and out of order, but they are better when you read more than one. I don't like to rehash the plot in a review as that is what the description gives you. I would rather share how the stories made me feel. I found each heroine and hero to be relatable and genuine. If they were real people, I would choose them for friends. Kait Nolan has a way of making you feel. In most of her stories, I laugh and I cry. And I always end feeling happy and looking forward to the next story. I would recommend these three books wholeheartedly. I received an advance copy in return for an honest review.

These were fantastic stories to listen to! (Sidenote: I had actually read the third book in this boxed set a while ago, but I still listened to it!)
This series is just plain fun. The side characters are a hoot, and the stories are just sweet. My only complaint is that the heroes and heroines have major communication issues which result in unnecessary drama. But that’s the only thing “wrong” (in my opinion) with this series!
I also give major props to the narrator. Amy McFadden is FANTASTIC! Her inflections, her accents, her voices...take these stories to another level. I’m so glad she’s narrating them all!

Book 1 - LOVED this, this is the first book I read in the Wishful series and it hooked me in from the start. Great characters in Norah and Cam and love the town setting of Wishful
Book 2 - Some moreonderful characters and a second chance at love and you've got a great story. This one had me shed a small tear or two. Wonderful quick read and addition to the wishful series.
Book 3 - Loved this, Riley is such a tough woman and Liam is the perfect man to match her, to melt her hard exterior. I want to know what happens next with them so I hope there is more to their story.

Where I Want To Call Home
I reread these stories to be able to review this boxed set, and I so enjoyed visiting with the folks of Wishful, Mississippi. Each story is about a strong woman facing her deepest fears and choosing to grab and hold on to love. But each story is unique in its presentation. And of course once you meet other characters in one story, you never know where they'll show up next!
I'm not from the South but these stories make me want to pack up and move there!

I reread these stories to be able to review this boxed set, and I so enjoyed visiting with the folks of Wishful, Mississippi. Each story is about a strong woman facing her deepest fears and choosing to grab and hold on to love. But each story is unique in its presentation. And of course once you meet other characters in one story, you never know where they'll show up next!
I'm not from the South but these stories make me want to pack up and move there!
If you love small town romances, where community is a draw, put this on your Must Read list!

To Get Me to You - Norah and Cam. A story about new love and saving Wishful. I enjoyed this one and loved the town and its residents.
Be Careful It’s Not My Heart - Tyler and Brody - a second chance at love. They are trying to save the theatre. Miscommunication was the main problem. A sweet couple. Enjoyed this one even more.
Know Me Well - Riley and Liam - friend's to more. I loved this book. I have read almost every book in this series and this is still my favorite. Loved them these two individually and as a couple!!!!

I received an ARC of this book, but the opinions of this review are my own!! OMG loved this volume set! Wish I had started with this volume series before reading a lot of the Wishful books!! All the characters and their relationships make a lot more sense now!! Lol Absolutely love all the stories! If you are looking for that warm, happy ever after where love always wins, then this is for you! Can't decide which story is my favorite, but if I had to choose it would probably be Liam and Riley's story!! Always had a thing for a man in uniform, and I absolutely love An Officer and a Gentleman!

Absolutely loved all three books
My usual fare is sci-fi/fantasy but I like an occasional romance for a change scenery. These books 📚more than provided a change they pulled me into a small town and introduced me to a cast of characters with believable lives and love that was worth fighting for.
Please drop on by Blissful and meet some of the folks who are proud to call it home. Kait I am pleased to meet you and I look forward to spending more time in Blissful. So set yourself down with a glass if ice cold sweet tea and get to know the folks here. I'm so glad I did!

I really liked the first book and discovering the town. The second was good. The third was dissapointing. They were cute sweet stories, but they felt too similar for me. By the third story, I was roling my eyes way too often because of the cheesiness. There is no surprise, you know exactly where the story is going. Maybe if I would have listened to the three books seperatly, with other books in between, I would have liked it better.

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the residents of Wishful. I know you will, too. But to do that, you need to pick up a book. What better way than to start with a boxed set! You can start reading the first book in the boxed set and see where things go in Wishful.

This is absolutely one of my most favorite series of books! The Wishful Series starts with these three books and pulls you in, hook, line and sinker! You will fall in love with all the characters and the town itself...I am constantly wishing I was there!!! After this, read the entire series, it's very well worth it!!

I loved the small town and the characters. The author did a great job of setting them in my mind with her words. The way the stories are told makes me want to be part of this town and while I'm reading I feel like I'm there with the characters. They are great stories that are just light enough to be an easy fun read. I recommend this book and I can't wait to read the others in the series.

Kait Nolan has a way of drawing you into the fold of her characters. You feel as if you know them and can't wait to meet them again. This boxset kept me intrigued and invested in the characters and their fate with some small town gossip and tidbits added in to keep things interesting. Definitely worth a read.

A wonderful set of 3 delightful romance novels in the small town of Wishful. Nolan does a great job of weaving the characters through all her books in the series, painting a vibrant picture of the town while pulling on the heartstrings and enveloping you in beautiful tales of love.

I love Wishful. It's my favorite fictional town. Nolan creates realistic characters with interesting problems. This is "just another romance" series. You'll love revisiting these characters again and again and again.

Wonderful
Wishful Romances are just wonderful. Fantastic characters, some you love, some are annoying .. just like any small town. Brilliant writing that combines great stories, romance and a touch of humour. I cannot recommend this box set highly enough ... a definite must read.

Fun!
I loved all three books. Easy to read separately, connected stories, but they stand alone. HEA . H and h make you cheer as they go through their trials. Can't wait to see what happens next in this little town!

Realy enjoyed this book once i started to read it couldn't put it down .great stories loved the fact was all in same plce .
Great author first time I've read her work will defanatley read more.

Rereads well
Picked this up twice not realizing I had already read it. Surprised at how much stuck with me and that didn't actually bother me. The author did a good job keeping things interwoven across all three books. A sweet, enjoyable read.

If you love Romance
It was a nice Romance I enjoyed reading it, I liked that Riley didn't want to be dependent on anyone but he won her out in the end. And I love the small town community. It takes you away and what a journey you go on.
