Absolutely Fantastic read, Utterly loved it to the point of not putting it down till I'd finished.

As always I never give spoilers what I can say though is that this is a fantastic read with a major roller coaster of emotions from heartbreak to heartwarming, most definitely another awesome book by Amy proving without doubt that,

Love is most definitely the best medicine always.

Thank you dear Amy for writing it and the honour of reading it.

This is such a beautiful story, so very heart warming and moving and what a setting New York at Christmas time in the middle of a blizzard when the Manhattan Mercy hospital has all workers kept on duty because of the snow storm and this makes tensions run high between former friends trauma Doctor Ella Lockwood and Doctor Zac Davenport who has recently left the navy and returned home from his last tour of duty, both Ella and Zac have changed over the years but that spark is still there.

Ella has tried to steer clear of Zac since his return she does not want to be hurt like she was before, they had been very close growing up and while studying but a few words changed all of that and both got on with their lives. Ella is a great doctor even if she hides her heart and emotions, and one day she still would love to marry and have a family so when they are forced to work together during the storm this leads to a kiss and more and she is worried about Zac in many ways.

Zac suffered through his last posting and left the navy with good health although maybe things are still worrying him but he feels he needs to talk to Ella although after what he has been through marriage and family may not be for him. They had been such good friends once and the pull towards her is strong and in his mind she has been with him always, but there are a few bridges to cross before he can feel that love.

Truly this is a story not to be missed there were tears and smiles as I got to know Ella and Zac and their vulnerabilities that strength and love helped to overcome together, what a journey so much happening at the hospital saving people and themselves and wow what an epilogue it is amazing thank you MS Ruttan you never fail to make me smile. Ella and Zac were so meant for each other and what a great ending to this series.

Old friends reunite with a dash of fiery attraction! Our attention is piqued from the start and the story pace is quick and easy to delve into. The characters capture us with both the wit of friendly familiarity and the intrigue of figuring out the drama side of their memories with each other and in the lives they've led since they last saw each other. I wanted a bit more from the story outside of the initial snowbound in the hospital pitch, but overall it was a solid read and I enjoyed it!

Trauma surgeon Ella Lockwood has worked hard to achieve all that she has in her life so far, and she's not going to let anything stand in her way of having the career that she wants. Not an over-bearing mother, or an ex-crush reappearing in her life when she least expects it!

They might be snowed in for Christmas at Manhattan Mercy, but former Navy Doc and trauma surgeon Zac Davenport doesn't mind it a bit when he sees that his childhood friend Ella is there as well! He doesn't realize that he broke her heart all those years ago until she gives him the cold shoulder, which leaves them to have to iron it all out while fighting the emergencies in the ER!

Navy Doc on her Christmas List by Amy Ruttan (Christmas In Manhattan)

New York is at a standstill. Can you imagine a huge city like that being at a standstill at the holiday time. Bridges closed, tunnels closed. NYPD is saying do not go out if your do not 100% have to…

So the doctors and nurses on duty and already at the hospital well let’s just say they are not leaving either. But that means Dr. Ella Lockwood and the former Navy Doc Zac Davenport are together also. There is very high tension between the two. Zac is not the same person he was before the last tour of duty.

Can they put this tension behind them and so they can truly survive this holiday season lock in and also care for the patients.

The prior spark that those 2 had could be brought back fully around with one kiss. Will it happen?

Please set aside some quiet time to enjoy this medical romance while sipping some delicate beverage… Enjoy!!

NAVY DOC ON HER CHRISTMAS LIST by author Amy Ruttan is a December 2017 release by Harlequin Mills and Boon Medical Romance release.

Dr. Ella Lockwood had her heart broken once before by Dr. Zac Davenport, so she tried to steer clear of him when he came back from the Navy and started working with her.

Then a snowstorm hit NYC and their hospital was in lockdown. And they had to pull shifts and work together under massive pressure. Ella finds out about Zac’s secret but what will he say when he discovers her secret?

NAVY DOC ON HER CHRISTMAS LIST is part of ‘Christmas in Manhattan’ miniseries. This story grabs you right from the beginning and keeps you captivated to the end. It’s full-on action with medical drama among the chaos of the snowstorm and the emotional tension building between Zac and Ella. Author Amy Ruttan did a great job bringing Ella and Zac together after the huge walls they had around their hearts.

Highly recommended for all readers of medical romance.

Ms. Ruttan has written a lovely story about Zac Davenport and Ella Lockwood that goes beyond the medical into a lovely second chance romance.  Zac and Ella were childhood friends and maybe to each other a little more.  However things sometimes said hurt more than you know and they drift apart when Zac becomes a Navy Surgeon. Ella has moved on also and is an acclaimed doctor. Distance there may be between them physically but emotionally Zac still remembers Ella and when he returns home he finds himself working at the same hospital.  Sometimes some things are meant to be but take time to develop and neither their years apart or hurt can keep these two from being together.  Maybe being stuck in a busy emergency room during a blizzard will allow them to have the time to revisit the past and make a future.

I enjoy reading reunion stories and Amy Ruttan's Navy Doc on Her Christmas List has everything you want in a book. First of all, it's a Christmas themed romance! Secondly it has two main characters whose lives cross after a prolonged time. The spark between Ella Lockwood and Zac Davenport is electrifying and I savored the banter between them. The storyline is realistic and the plot moves along with a bang. I was hooked from the moment Emma and Zac get snowed in at the hospital. Their past together is resurrected and the way the author builds the tension adds to that emotional build-up which hooks you. All in all, Navy Doc on Her Christmas List is a wonderful, heartwarming story where the magic of the season and love shine light on the simplest meaning of two hearts becoming one!

Dr. Ella Lockwood and Dr. Zac Davenport were once the best of friends until he broke her heart. Now though, they’re working together on Christmas Eve when they’re snowed in at Manhattan Mercy Hospital, and Ella is determined to keep her distance from the one man she knows could hurt her all over again. However, when she discovers how much Zac’s last tour of duty changed him, Ella is determined to help him, if he’ll let her. Will Ella and Zac be able to overcome the past to have a future together, or does Zac believe he’s too damaged to ever be able to give Ella the love and happiness she deserves? Read More

It is an open secret that if i like a book cover, there is a 95% chance of me reading that book. This one had that going for it.

The red ribbon on the top and snow on the cover. A winter fanatic like me is completely sold. Did I mention that I have a thing for Christmas decor? Even though I do not celebrate this festival, it is one of my favourites (yes, I am weird like that). So, you see the temptation of the cover for me? Oh, and that model’s smile is not bad either. 😉

It is a story of second chances. As far as this trope goes, the story has to make me believe that whoever was given the second chance deserved it. Not all authors are successful in that regards where the only deciding factor is hormones. But, Amy gives the intricate details of these people here that made me (someone who does not believe in giving second chances) root for Ella and Zac’s reunion!

The thing that made the story become all the more real for me is how Ella is treated by her own mother. As if she is no good, as if she is failure because she is not married and has reached a certain age while all her peers have settled down.

This is so very true, especially in the Pakistani society. And me, a single woman, have experience much of it firsthand. Amy’s words were so powerful that I did not just read them, I felt them. I felt them with them with blunt force!

Ella and Zac, both had their demons that they had to slay with each other’s help. One thing that is 100% true is that jealousy is one very amazing way to figure out you love someone and Amy Ruttan has used that superbly in this story.

Highly recommended.
