Daddy Says

Rate this book
When twenty-four-year-old Jane Knight is assigned wealthy, handsome businessman Sawyer Masterson's table at the upscale restaurant where she works, she quickly finds herself breathless, blushing, and tongue-tied, and it is only his warm, calming demeanor that keeps her from humiliating herself completely. What truly catches her off guard, however, is the card he leaves behind to let her know that he would like to be the daddy she clearly needs so desperately. The mere thought of a strict daddy taking her in hand--and over his knee--leaves Jane's heart racing and her panties soaked, but when Sawyer bares her bottom for the first spanking of her life it is only the beginning of his plans for her. He is going to teach her to be his obedient little girl, and she is going to discover the pleasure of being made to do exactly as daddy says.Publisher's Daddy Says includes spankings, sexual scenes, age play, and more. I have been writing stories as long as I can remember. I am an author with Blushing Books. I enjoy writing both contemporary erotica as well as historical books set in ages past. I love developing characters that are able to tell their own stories. My heroines are multi-faceted women who are strong, intelligent and capable in their own right but find a deep need to share their lives with those strong, sexy and dominant alpha males that capture their hearts. My heros recognize the gift of submission for the gift it is, loving and protecting the women that offer that gift. I enjoy sweet, romantic stories with just a taste of domestic discipline as well as one that explore the harsher D/S lifestyle. I also enjoy writing age-play stories set both in Victorian era where women didn't have a great deal of power in their lives as well as in today's present time where women still find their happiness is greatly enhanced in offering the gift of submission. My hope is that you settle back in your favorite chair and allow my books to entertain you and let you escape into another world.

It is not bad if you like age play romance books.
The main issue that I had is that the story starts in a slow pace and then it accelerates without showing much character development.

I’m very behind on reviews, so this will be short. This came up as a recommendation for “hero betrays heroine”, and it was either mislabeled or GR had a glitch because this is a fairly fluffy, moderately smutty kink read with no betrayal or real drama at all. 🤷‍♀️

The book opens with Jane waiting on Sawyer at a restaurant. He’s older, rich, yummy, and she’s instantly attracted. He gives her a card that she eventually figures out is an invite to a daddy/littles relationship site. Jane is intrigued but is spooked after some invasive questioning and she shuts it down. Not to be deterred, Sawyer decides to woo her into a relationship. And that slows the plot down quite a lot because it takes Jane midbook to agree to the relationship and 67% until they even get to anything kink/sexytime related, so if smut is what you’re looking for… you will need to be patient.

Bottom Line- I didn’t love this and was bored much of the book, but it might’ve been an expectation thing since I was planning on something totally different, and anytime I was teased with anything of substance (Jane being upset or asking about his previous little relationships) he shut her down or distracted her straightaway and it went nowhere.

Also, this is the type of daddy where she acts sort of like a kid with baby talk, getting a sucker at the doctor, and he likes that she’s 5 feet tall and 100 lbs. FYI.

This book had so many elements that reminded me of Fifty Shades, only done better and I have to admit there were many things that I enjoyed about it.

However, there was also the Fifty Shades pacing problems where they become obsessed with each other and move in together with the space of about a week. But considering the entire plot is just the two of them I can see how it happened.

I will say that there were issues with the dynamics in the book, number one being ongoing consent and the fact that the story presents the idea that once you consent to one thing that is consenting to everything and it cannot be withdrawn without ending the relationship completely. VERY problematic!

Overall, 3 stars for a guilty pleasure read whilst always conscious of the problems and acknowledging that it is not the most healthy DD/LG relationship.

Disappointing

I was hoping for more from a book with so many high ratings, especially since age play is so rarely done well. Unfortunately, this was yet another case of that. It seemed like the author did the research (sort of), but there was a MAJOR lapse in consent throughout the book. The heroine was new to kink and to ageplay, and not once was she made aware that she had the option to safeword with no consequences. She was subjected to multiple things that made her uncomfortable, but her protests were met with guilt trips. It’s not consent if the person is frightened, bullied, or guilted into saying yes. Her Dom didn’t treat her well at all, aside from a handful of cuddling moments and some orgasms. There was more focus on punishments than anything else, and while I understand the appeal of ageplay, I had a hard time understanding why the heroine was aroused at all. The whole thing came off sounding almost clinical at times. I’m not sure it’s even a 3 star book, but I don’t rate below that out of respect for other authors. Just wanted to put in my 2¢.

I’ve read a few Daddy kink books, but this was a level I didn’t know existed. It was well written though and kept your interest. The long in depth Doctor visit though…. It’s one of the fun things about reading… being a voyeur looking into a world that you would never know existed… and would Certainly never embrace. I might try another book by this author but not this trope.

This book started out really good. I enjoyed how he pursued her. However. This book then turned more into a lesson of what NOT to do in a power exchange relationship. Do not move in within days of being together. Do not wait to make a contract. Do not use sex as a punishment! Are you kidding me? That's like rape. Lay there and watch him punish her by forcing sex, anal sex, and oral sex on her. What?! And having no safeword during punishments is another huge thing. You should always have access to a safeword. Only she knows what she is feeling. She may not get to use a safeword to end a punishment, but using it for him to check in is the least he could do. Especially as he's punishing her within days of meeting her. How does he already know her limits? He doesn't know anything yet. I could see the removal of the safeword after years of being together.

Like I said above, this was good in the beginning (that's the two stars) but the rest was all about punishment. I was uncomfortable reading it. Would not recommend unless you're into non-con.

This book by Maggie Ryan is a wonderful age play romance. The DD is a sexy alpha male who knows what he wants and is willing to wait while the woman he wants admits she is interested. The age play aspect comes quickly (pardon the pun) and the DDlg relationship is explored. There isn't a lot of Little behavior, but this story is a good introduction for DDlg fans. I know that I have read almost all DDlg books available on the largest retailer and I will buy any new ones. This is worth the read.

I highly recommend this author and this book to AP readers and in particular to those interested in reading about DDlg as well as domestic discipline relationships. I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Oh yeah. This is more like it. Harsher, with interesting characters and some outstanding dirty talk. Nothing gets my motor revving like a guy who tells you what he is going to do - and makes you watch him do it. Not sure what to consider that kink - but whatever it is - this book had it in spades. I cannot resist an alpha male who very calmly shares what he is going to do. Well written - full of luscious lusty kinky sex but with characters who also display regular human emotions. Loved it.

JANE KNIGHT AND SAWYER MASTERSON

I enjoyed the story of Jane and Sawyer and their journey into a relationship that includes a DD/lg relationship of age-play. We don’t learn too much about her parents except that she was a late in life an only child that was more an inconvenience than a cherished child. While Jane enjoys reading domestic discipline erotica on her Kindle, she honestly has never had much experience, even when it comes to relationships, she lacks much experience.

Sawyer Masterson is a self-made millionaire and knows what he wants. Having a good friend who lives the lifestyle with his little wife, he will go to dinner and meet Jane at a high-end restaurant. Jane is their server, but she is so flustered from the moment she goes to the table, that she makes one mistake after another. Thinking this will be the end of her job, she is shocked to have the checked paid in cash, a nice tip, and a business card that has the word Favored and a web address.

The plot will have Sawyer seeking his own little and meeting Jane, where she is nervous and says and does everything wrong, but he finds it amusing, and her blushing is cute. Leaving her the business card and then waiting for her to access the site will open the door, but just when he thinks they have a chance, she exits the site in fear. He is a patient man who refuses to give up on her and asserts his presence at the restaurant and in her station each night until she finally acquiesces to listen to him.

“You are the only young woman I’ve seen as favored, and the only one who is important to me now.”

The story focuses on the development of their relationship and her acceptance as his little girl. She will learn that he is sincere in this relationship, and in her. Sawyer will always tell her when she is to be punished why and makes sure she understands the situation. The story has many scenes of punishment, some medical play, anal play, humiliation, and explicit sex scenes.

“I realize I am asking a great deal—but know that I am committed to guiding you, to disciplining you, and to teach you all about the pleasures and joy found in submission. I am asking for your honesty and your trust. I promise I will treasure each and never abuse either.”

There is a great cast of characters, detailed, open and honest conversations, and while some of the punishments may seem harsh and painful, he never harms her. He doesn’t want to rob her of her independence, respects her desire to attend culinary school, and respects her hard limits. Best of all, the story has a happy ending.

Sweet with Plenty of Heat!

“Daddy Say’s” is a contemporary age play romance embodying one young woman’s journey of sexual exploration and love. From the moment Jane meets Sawyer, sparks fly and long repressed desires begin to occupy her thoughts as well as invade her dreams. The chemistry between these extremely likeable characters is intense and the attraction intensifies with Sawyer’s enduring persistence. Jane’s transformation into Sawyer’s “Janie” is believable, realistic and intelligently written. Sawyer’s character utilizes tolerance, reasonable punishments and unconditional love while educating Janie in the various aspects of the age play dynamic. “Daddy Say’s” is the perfect introductory age play romance or for the more experienced reader who prefers a more mature, less extreme situational role play dynamic (no bottles, sippy cups, cribs or diapers).

Little Janie has quite a bit to learn and Sawyer is the perfect man to teach her!

Children 18 and over only due to extremely hot sexual content and uneven power exchange!

First off let me just say that this is well written and the plot is very well paced. My middling score is due to its lack of character development and just the fact that a. I don’t agree and/or understand this kind of relationship. And b. there were just parts that irritated me.

I’m not sure why but I thought this would be more surreal. I Suppose it’s not that far fetched for relationships like this to exist.

I’m a little weirded out by the Dr’s visit but also intrigued. The ‘little’ with the bows was a bit much. I hope this book doesn’t go down that road.

No safe word when being punished? What kind of bs is that? Don’t even get me started on lack of consent. Ugh, it’s starting to piss me off. It’s not his place to decide how far she can go. I kinda already knew I wasn’t a fan of ‘ageplay’ but the more I read the more that thought is clenched.

The more I think about it the more I’m disturbed. I hate to come off as someone who thinks that something like homosexuality leads to beastiality. I like to consider myself very open minded but I just feel like there’s a fine line between this and pedophilia. And this is coming from someone who prefers men that are at least ten years older. But maybe this is a way to avoid praying on children? I don’t know.

In the end this was equal parts uncomfortable, erotic and irritating.

ThisWasHorrible/5📚 Rape/5🌶️
DNF’d at 70% (read other one star reviews, I definitely have seen enough🤢)

I’m convinced this book was written by a man, because no way in hell did a woman come up with a FMC who is so attracted to a man that she forgets her own fucking name.
She is not able to say his name because it has Master (Mr. Masterson) in it. Please kill me.😭

The doctor can go to jail, because eww he was absolutely creepy. The whole appointment was fucking SA.
•„Oh… she said, a bit mortified that she was going to be FORCED to come in the presence of another man.” (Come at the doctors office so the doctors can she if her juice flow is good???? Excuse me??🤮)
•„all she could think about was the foreign object being FORCED into a place she’d never considered being invaded.”
And that right here ladies and gentlemen is rape. Congrats on being just another horrible and problematic author.

In general she wasn’t allowed to say no to this doctors appointment, she wasn’t allowed to deny exams she doesn’t want, she had to sit through all it or she will get punished. Like what the actual fuck??
That’s not how a DDLG works, this is just straight up domestic abuse.

It began well, with the couple negotiating rules about their relationship in the lifestyle. I did like the H at first, but soon it just became the h acting out and him punishing her. She moved into a child state very and that's fine, but what did the H feel about her? I know he go the physical and the control but I wanted to know more about how the lifestyle or her thrilled him. What needs did he have that only she could satisfy? It didn't feel like a love story, more control and hook up with same person.

Firstly, let me just say this book wasn't for me... that's not to say this was a bad book, it just didn't do anything for me and I found myself skimming to get through it. It wasn't a lengthy story so it didn't take much to get through it.

If you're into age play and understand the dynamics of a Daddy Dom/Little relationship then this is something that you will be more into.

When waitress Jane Knight lays eyes on a man seated in her section there's an instant connection that has her flustered and making mistakes; Sawyer Masterson has been looking for his perfect Little girl when he becomes quite enraptured by Ms. Knight, he wants her and as a man who always gets what he wants, he peruses Jane.

Jane resists at first, unsure how the whole Daddy Dom/Little Girl relationship will work, but even then the doubt and uncertainty of the whole relationship makes her change her mind frequently and causes issues between the two, how far is Sawyer willing to go to have his Little?

Oh the Dynamic!

This was spot on for a DDlg dynamic because if it's natural to your personality the relationship doesn't change you it just adds to your life when you're supported like that. Thia was truly beautiful and a well rounded story for being so short. Maggie Ryan is a genius at writing a whole story and characters with depth without having to do a background info dump about the Daddy Doms ability to care for his Little. She has a talent for giving the reader enough room to fill in the miscellaneous bits with their imagination and really feel involved in the story unfolding. She also did a wonderful job of showing how unnerving it is to answer those online questionnaires at the same time maybe acknowledging your own feelings at the same time. Dating online can be great but its definitely not for everyone.

I cannot rave enough about this book and the author! Looking forward to reading a lot more of the Ddlg dynamic from Maggie Ryan.

A Perfect Story! I LOVED IT!

I must say that this was a great story for me! I really enjoyed every aspect of it. There were even parts where I was talking to my Kindle, urging the heroine to simply behave — that’s how invested I was in this book. (lol) I read it all in one sitting. I loved the hero as well. And the build up/evolution of their relationship. The love. The devotion. The ritual. I will be adding this author to my auto-buy list. Very well written.

If you ever wondered (even a little bit) what a Dom/Little relationship might be like, and wanted to read a D/s Romance featuring this relationship dynamic, I recommend this Daddy Dom/Little story — Daddy Says — as a good book to launch you into this erotic/BDSM sub genre. Daddy Says is fun, exciting, loving and thorough. Even the discipline and the sex scenes are on point.

Flawless. Perfect. Buy it. Enjoy.

The hero is very robotic. Nobody avoids contractions in speech to that extent, but he’s also cold. When he says, “Give yourself the permission to become everything you’ve wanted for so long,” I had to laugh. Because she didn’t really know anything about the little dynamic - thinking it was all diapers. So it certainly wasn’t a dream of hers. There’s a 12 year age difference and the only description we get of the hero is his blue eyes, black hair, and big c@ck. Just not enough to justify her suddenly submitting to the point where a doctor examines the “strength of her orgasm.” Especially for a woman who hasn’t been to a doctor since she was a teen. But he’s rich, so there’s that. At the end he imagines her in various positions throughout his apartment. Zero talk of little space or even subspace. I had to look up nates. It’s a 16th century word for ass. Just use ass.

That’s right. 💦 so hard that you feel as if you are flying. Now put your hands back and keep them there

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
POV: Third Person Omniscient… although I wish it was duel POV
Spice: 🌶️🌶️/5
Ending: Eh

This was a short fun read but I wish it was told by duel POV vs 3rd person. I also found it interesting that a safe word wasn’t introduced into the relationship until like 60% of the way through the book. He knew that she was nervous and inexperienced and I think giving her a safe word would have helped her feel more comfortable. I also wasn’t particularly a fan of the fact that her safe word was useless during a punishment.
Overall I liked the story but I think there were a lot of things that could have been done differently

Daddy Dom genre.
The characterisation is okay, I can't comment on the plotline or any potential triggers because I only got about 35% through before I gave up at the doctor scene.
Once again a book jumps straight into spanking and threat of a belt with no BDSM checks such as a hard limit list or use of a safeword.
Being told to undergo a decidedly sexual 'exam' by a man you've never met before the morning after you agree to be a 'little' is too far fetched.
Why do authors not understand that even in age play there are limits and safewords? Giving over control doesn't mean relinquishing all decisions over what happens to you unless that's the kink, which isn't the case in this book.
I couldn't finish the book because of the total disregard for her limits.

Wonderfully written Daddy Dom romance

Maggie Ryan is an amazing author. She creates such believable characters and puts them in a plot that makes you not want to put down the book. I know I didn't, finishing the story in one sitting. Jane and Sawyer meet when she waits on his table, the attraction immediate. Soon Janie is under her Daddy's tutelage exploring a world she'd only read about. The care the author takes with her journey is admirable. Both a sexy and heartwarming read. Definately belongs on your TBR list especially if you love a take charge loving Daddy.

Awesome read!

This is my first time reading this author and I absolutely loved this book! The main characters will pull you in right away from Jane's dreams about what she really wants and the daddy Sawyer that knows he is what she needs. It was interesting to see a broader view of the daddy/little dynamic and I think it would give anyone a greater appreciation for those in the lifestyle. I always love when books are told from the POV from the two main characters so you get a better idea of what each one is thinking and feeling. I'll definitely be adding this author to my list!

This is the first Maggie Ryan book I’ve read and my first read of the year and I wasn’t disappointed.

The pacing at time felt a little too quick for my liking. I would have loved to have seen things played out over a couple of months rather than a couple of days.

There is some brief medical kink which I would have looved to have come back to or spent some more time in but there was no lack of heat in the rest of the book.

I love when a book gives the perspective from both daddy and little and we get to see scenes, or playtimes, from all angles.

Left me wanting more but in the best ways.

She is the Favored One. Maggie Ryan does it again one fantastic writer of the taboo. Jane Knight is the favored one for Sawyer Masterton, she captured him from the first moment he saw her. Jane knows she is exactly where she needs to be with her Daddy. I loved the doctors appointment scene it was quite funny, and Jane was adorably naive. An amazing author Maggie Ryan writes panty melting, insanely hot books and this is one of her best. The only down side for me was that the book was too short I wanted it to go on forever. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.

I absolutely loved this book! Daddy Says explores the DD/LG dynamic between Sawyer and Janie. If you are new to age play, this is the perfect place for you to start.
Sawyer knew he wanted Jane from the moment he laid eyes on her, and well Jane thought she knew what she wanted. It wasn't until meeting Sawyer that Jane is given the chance to explore her sexuality to the fullest. Embarking on a journey of discovery, Janie soon learns not to disobey her Daddy.
I cannot wait to read more from this author!

Sawyer meets a young waitress named Janie and ventures to give her a special card as he is leaving the restaurant. After figuring out how to get into the web site revealed by the card she realizes that Sawyer is interested in her for more than just a date. He's looking for someone to call him daddy. Although she originally turns him down he is persistent and she eventually decides to give it a try. It's a pretty regular daddy book. She misbehaves - he punishes her. Rich guy helps out poor girl. But I did make it to the end so that is saying something.
