Will I ever be able to play football again? Hell, will I ever walk again? Bo Crawford is the best Quarterback our team has ever had. Tall, athletic, drop dead gorgeous. The perfect combination to make a girl swoon.
His family however, are a real piece of work. Ungrateful, rude, manipulative - he doesn't have the heart to tell them ‘no’. Why does he have to be such a sweetheart?
A disastrous tackle towards the end of the Superbowl final has left him in agonizing pain… And zero feeling in one of his legs!
Lucky for him I’m the best physical therapist in the business… And luckily for me I get to spend the next few weeks manhandling him through all his exercises. How on earth will I manage?
Problem is I’m not allowed to date patients. How do I stop myself from falling for this smoking hot Superbowl champion? More importantly, how do I help him recover from this life changing injury?
Rough Tackle is a football romance with a very HEA.
I don’t know. This seemed like it had so much potential, but the characters were just plastic. The romance seemed to come out of nowhere with no buildup. A few blushes and flashes of unrealistic jealousy and all of a sudden main characters are ready to jump in the sheets. The redeeming quality was the general message of not letting people take advantage of you, even if ‘people’ is your family.
4 stars I purchased the novel Rough Tackle: A Football Romance Story (College Friends Book 3) by Amber Heart and this review was given freely. Tying in with the characters from book one The Project, Dean is now in the NFL and about to marry Everleigh. However, this is the story of Dean's friend and teammate the quarterback Bo and his self centered money hungry family who sell him out after a severe injury during the Super Bowl changes Bo's life forever. Things improve with the support of Dean and after an unconventional first meeting with the therapy dog trainer/ Physical Therapist Hannah. A good complex romance but not a true reflection of a Physical Therapist, a Therapist's Ethics or the post back surgery hospital course I am familiar with where I work. This novel also contains the books 4 stars Family First and 5 stars The Singer.
Bo a superstar quarterback is badly hurt in a super bowl game. Having no feeling in his one leg, he may never walk again let alone play football. Hannah one of the best physical therapist is assigned to work with Bo. Sparks fly between Bo and Hannah but a personal relationship is impossible while Hannah is Bo's therapist. Will Bo recover the use of his leg enough to play football again? Will Bo and Hannah fall in love? Will Bo finally deal with his hateful, greedy family? One-click “Rough Tackle” for a quick, fun, romantic read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Bo was a super bowl champion and one of the best quarterbacks in the nation before he got hurt. With his feeling gone in one leg, he is assigned a physical therapist. Dating clients is off limits, but passion and attraction overrule. He was a pushover for his non-appreciative family and she was a no-nonsense strong woman. Great story and a sweet romance that ends with an HEA. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
This is a sports romance with relatable and likable characters (as well as self-serving characters you really dislike). The storyline is so well-written it just flows from the pages keeping the reader interested and entertained. Amber Heart does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life and her descriptions elicit emotions from the reader. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hannah is a physical therapist, her new client is Bo Crawford. Bo is a star footballer who is injured during the Super bowl. His family only want him for his money and when he realises this he spirals down. Hannah is the only person giving his the support he needs but it’s forbidden for her to date him. With drama and working through his injury do Bo and Hannah realise they are meant for each other?
I loved the storyline and the main characters. It's really tragic how some families can take advantage of you. And the author clearly wrote very well about it. Thank GOD, Bo finally asked Hannah for help in exterminating his manipulative family back to their own homes. His family was portrayed as ungrateful and glad Bo saw that in the end. Thank you, Amber for making me turn the page to the end!!! ;-)
Rough Tackle by Amber heart is a wonderful romance. This is a very moving romance between an injured football player and his physical therapist. I loved these two character's together. I enjoyed their attraction and their fight against breaking the rules. A short read but very enjoyable. I'm posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Bo is injured during the superbowl and he needs therapy after his surgery. He meets Hannah, his therapist, and he’s attracted to her, he trusts her. But during his recovery, his family comes to his house and uses him and his money. Good story, quite simple, but well written, with nice characters (well, except his family)
I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book. Nice story of a quarterback and his therapist. She not only helps him heal from his injury but to learn how to say no to his greedy family. Every one can relate to a family member like the ones Bo has. It also has a happy ending.
After I read the first book, I was through with author. The next series was a teaser, hate that. So I didn't even start the additional novel enclosed .there are better reads out there.
The old adage of you can choose your friends but not your family, is a big part of this story. It is well worth reading, perhaps to make people sit back and think about what they expect from family members. I read this story as part of "college Friends" collection.
Some families just suck. Found families are sometimes so much better. Good friends sometimes have great advice to share about their own past. So live and learn. Well worth reading.
