This is not a good book. I kept thinking that I was reading something penned by an adolescent. I would read, my mind would drift; I'd think about cleaning the bathroom or retrieving the mail, refocus and read as much as I could POSSIBLY endure. The only parts I enjoyed were the "spells", which is the reason for my 2 star rating rather than a 1.
It is also poorly edited... too much conversation (Juvenile conversation!), hum-drum action and crude sex scenes... along the wham-bam-thank you-ma'am caliber. Also her verb usage is appalling: "... As Taka, Vanessa and Arabella scurried outside..." What? Are they rodents?
So, if you want to torture yourself read this book. I'd use its pages to wipe my derriere but I fear dumb-downing my sphincter.
