Some Good Parts
Halfway through the book I started to analyze the characters and ask what makes them so special because in some ways they are just so hollow and dull to me but in others they are just so complex and human like. I feel like there is something lacking in the character profiles.
Another thing that is starting to get a little old is the constant deep talks that seem to get NOWHERE. It’s like they have these deep conversations and nothing changes. They are still as clueless as before. I’ve also started to realize that they are cute together but their relationship almost seems unhealthy in more ways than one. I like them together don’t get me wrong... I just don’t get it sometimes.
The ending was really nice but the dramatic scene with Avery’s dad and Ben was...warranted but I don’t know, something seems off; however, I still liked the ending.
I plan to read the next one because I am forever curious as to what happens next but I hope that they develop more as people in the third one. :)

And it keeps getting better!
This one was lighter and heavier at the same time.
I love how the bond between Olivia and Avery is deepening as they are getting to know each other better.
I liked the introduction of Brian and Jacob (really hoping they make another appearance in the next installment!)
I liked the interactions with both sets of parents. It's really cool how each character is so distinct. And it's interesting to see how both Olivia and Avery help each other's parents connect with their respective child.
I saw that plot development with Skylar coming in the previous one itself. I kinda like it and I know it's not just a Chekhov's gun. Looking forward to see how it's used later.
I loved loved loved the scene in the music room when Olivia played for Avery. It was beautiful.. Actually, I love all the references the authors make.. all the literary quotes and the music and movie mentions. It adds to the depth of the characters. You can imagine what kind of person would read or listen to or watch this kinda stuff.. helps me feel more connected to the story because it helps in visualisation.
The humour is even better in this one. Was chuckling and giggling by myself quite often. And the sex is more racy :)
At times you do get scared for the characters because they are so dependent on each other, but then I guess it makes sense because their love is kinda epic and selfless and sweet and all consuming. Man, wouldn't I love having my very own Avery! (I relate to Olivia).. this series makes me hopeful. And make no mistake, the characters are strong women even if they are hopelessly addicted to each other.. I think they deserve the break ( yes I believe these characters really exist :p )
A lot of threads have appeared and I'm excited about where they are leading. I was really sad when I finished reading the book because now I'll have to wait for the next one! How am I gonna wait it out?! :(
Emma and Blythe, hope you know that your beautiful minds are appreciated. Hope you guys keep writing forever. You should really charge more for these books! I know I would pay more for them.

Blown away
The second in this series is wonderfully written. Both characters continue to develop throughout the story.
I am completely blown away by how well written this novel was. Though there are numerous topics that are addressed by the main characters none of them are neglected.
Many writers throw heavy topics such as domestic violence or sexual assault in their novels in an attempt to enhance the plot without addressing them. The others do a fantastic job of not making this an aid to their plot but actually focusing on the effects of a horrible experience on a young woman and those in her life.
I can't wait for the next book!

Tough part two. Oftentimes, the people who you think are going to react the worst to your news, end up being the most nurturing supporters. Olivia and Avery come out to their families and in some ways to each other as well. More layers get peeled away and some painful truths find the light of day as they learn each other even more. These girls are both emotionally beat up and there’s an underlying tension that’s bound to come to a head sometime in the future. Just have to keep reading. There’s a journal entry that gets read which is so on point about the head trip of someone becoming entrapped in an abusive situation which alone is worth the time spent on the whole book.

I felt like I skimmed half of this book because they just talking in circles and once they moved on or “made up” a few pages later they were having the same conversation. I also get sex is a big part of this book but sometimes too much is too much I wanna see the story develop which it didn’t until the last couple of chapter, just so the author could set up the next book. I really like the way Avery character is written but sometimes Olivia comes off as unlikeable and overly dramatic with no people skills at all.

I missed reviewing Book 1 so I will combine my thoughts now. The characters Olivia and Avery are complex and very well developed. The pacing of their story draws the reader in and soon they feel like three dimensional people who you want to know completely. The use of two voices is a great literary device that exposes so much of each character. I don’t want to share the plot but I do hope you take my advice and start reading this series. It is my guilty pleasure and I hope it becomes yours.

I read book 1, and loved book 2! I love how each book picks up where the last left off.
As with the last book you get an even bigger picture of the girls relationship. I love how much they grew in this book. Telling their parents was an exciting part for me! It was funny, but I also felt the nerves when they did.
The ending made me sad, and I felt bad for Avery. I hope she finds help and the able to let go and be okay with everything that's happened to her. I feel so bad.
I'm already reading book 3, and I am excited to see their story continue!

Another great continuation of our girls story
Loved it.... Again! Avery and Olivia continue their story and finally Ben is going to get what's coming to him. Great writing went into showing us how Avery had become a victim to being able to heal herself through her relationship with Olivia. Looking forward to the next installment.

Addictive
The continuing story of Avery and Olivia is as compelling as the first volume. Returning home after the ski trip and dealing with parents is the primary plot line, but the fact that the two young lovers barely know each other is also a major factor. This adds to the believability of their relationship considerably.

Baby dolls
I like how Avery and Olivia first meet and they didn't like each other because they both was from different background and then they got too know each other how they are similar. Avery is more and athletic person and Olivia is into drama class so they ended up on a ski trip and get too know each other.

Too much self analysis
At times it felt the author was padding the word count with superfluous dialogue, especially during sex. I'm sorry during sex, I'm thinking about the sex, not psychoanalyzing my feelings. I started just skipping stuff.

Absolutely painstakingly beautiful
The intensity and rawness of this story that is Avery and Olivia really pull you in to their world. Their thoughts and dialogue are reminiscent of The Love Story. I can't wait to read the next one.

I’m sure this series is really good. Maybe I’m just not part of the targeted audience because I felt nothing for the characters, the surroundings, it was just painful to try and get through the story.

I started rereading the Paper Dolls books again (think this is the 3rd/4th round for me!) & it continuously reminds me exactly why & just how much I AB-SO-freakin-LUTE-LY am 💯 in LOVE with this series & why I never get tired of reading them again & always longing for more of the most awesomest, neurotically dysfunctional, frustratingly difficult, obsessively anxious & passionately devoted book couple of all times!! Avery & Olivia forever!!!!
