I am not normally a Peppa Pig reader, but when I saw this absolutely adorable board book I knew I needed to share it with you all. I didn’t realise just how delightful it was until I started the Happy Birthday song from the button on the top right hand corner. I will step back a minute though and tell you about the remainder of the book first.
Peppa, George and Daddy pig have made mummy pig a birthday cake and they are all very excited. They decide to practice singing happy birthday and blowing candles out, and after the candles have accidentally been blown out in different ways a few times it is time to surprise mummy pig.
Peppa Pig continues to inspire and engage children and this book does so by playing the Happy Birthday tune and candles lighting up. This shows how books are moving forward in a world where electronics play a big role in even the smallest of children’s lives. That is not all though, while that is all happening if you blow on the candles they will go out. Yes that is right, I did say blow them out. Watch the video below to see how much fun it is.
Peppa Pig: Happy Birthday is a good size board book, big enough to use in a group story session and small enough for tiny hands. The colours are bright and engaging, and there are not too many pages. This book would easily engage babies, toddlers and your three to five year old that loves blowing out candles. This book is a classic example of making literacy and reading fun.

Taisin itse innostua vielä lapsia enemmän tästä puhallettavasta kirjasta! Erilaiset aistikirjat on mukavia luettavia, mutta koska tämä kirja osallistaa lasta normaalia enemmän tarinan etenemisen kannalta, tykkäsin tästä erityisesti !

A 5th birthday present for my Lili Sophia. How fun to be able to blow the candles out over and over again! She LOVED it. And so did I.
