I read a book like this last year and was a little worried that this would more or less be redundant. It wasn’t! I don’t know that any of the animals were repeated (there are a lot of animals in the world, so one would hope we wouldn’t constantly write about just a few) and they were all very interesting. I was particularly interested in the Redoven Birds and their perfect little houses that they work really hard on and the kind of weird Star Pearlfish who live inside sea cucumber butts. Yep. Butts.
The illustrations are beautiful as well, so all in all this is an excellent book.

Also I read it to the chickens at work. Can’t say they were super into it, but also I’ve never read to them before.

This book has beautiful illustrations. The story is traveling the world showing different ecosystems and animal homes. It compares animals to another and also shows differences! I enjoyed this book although it could have a better story behind it so that students would be more interested in it because I could see children getting bored!

I wanted to like this more... but I didn't
It just was too much for the intended audience
wasn't as engaging as I felt it should be
there are other books on this topic that do the job, simply better

Vanaf ongeveer zes jaar. Beknopt maar met leuke weetjes en mooi getekend. Ook de "extra" weetjes achteraan zijn zeker de moeite.
