You probably know about some of the amazing feats regularly accomplished by animals, from salmon who navigate through hundreds of miles of water to their birthplace to spawn, to bloodhounds who can track the tiniest trace of a scent with noses one million times stronger than ours.
Although psychic powers such as telepathic communication have yet to be explained by modern science, all animals, both human and nonhuman, have the potential. But like any talent, psychic talent must be developed and practiced.
Part collection of amazing animal stories, part psychic manual, Is Your Pet Psychic? is your guide to understanding and developing your pet's psychic powers.

This was the first book to confirm my dearest beliefs about animals: that they understand every word we say and speak to us too! Excuse this poor title. Don’t mistake it as trivial. THIS is the book that clinched how I interact with animals today. I found it after my dear childhood cat passed away, when she & I were both past 20. I didn't know how to be without her, was desperate to hear of people glimpsing animals in Heaven ~ anything. I had an astonishing experience before she passed away. I didn't know there was terminology or a precedent for understanding everything she wanted me to know.... without a sound.
She always very naturally answered us but this was my first encounter with the words “professional animal communicator” and it blew me away. I was aflame. I read, attended a workshop within months. Go figure, there was one near me. I'm due to practice, to be as proficient as I could be. I simply speak with our kitties as equals. We look each other in the eyes as we speak and they most certainly answer. Richard Webster's book is an ideal introduction for those leaning on the sceptical side.
Most animal lovers suspect we are equals. Beholding the proof feels like setting our souls free. Forevermore are we immune to anyone teasing our bond, thinking of kitties as children and family. We have confirmed a wonderful side of life others haven't. My recommendation extends to those for whom this would be new. Read these testimonies and you'll see what I mean. Approach an animal eye to eye whenever you speak together and see their pleased surprise, at being respected that way! Notice the spark of understanding, see the evidence in ways you hadn't considered, and never look back.
I liked this book. It gave me a new perspective where my pets are concerned. I loved reading the stories of amazing feats performed by animals in the past, and I liked the learning curve.
Unfortunately, I am not, have never been, a very spuritual person, and I don't have the patience to becone one. So I doubt I'll ever have such a connection with my own pets; I'm rather happy with our current relationship.
The one thing I didn't like about this book was the way the author stated some of his beliefs as if they were facts. While I don't begrudge him those beliefs, I don't appreciate him trying to sell them as facts. I also didn't like how it felt he was ordering me around. "Obviously, if you [ ... ], you MUST have it checked out by a veterinarian." I would never deny my pets needed health care , but I am not a fan of being bossed around and that one line kinda ruined my liking of the book.
Overall, I liked the first half much better than the second, and despite my grievances, I would totally recommend this book to any and all animal lovers.
This is the first book that I got after having a moment with a horse that I felt had to mean something more than my just imagining things because just a week later what I had imagined actually happened and I never heard anything from anyone about it so it could only have been the horse telling me. I didn't actually think about pets being psychic until I saw this book in a bookstore and thought about that moment with the horse. I then had to get the book. It is good but not as involved as the other book that I read and rated involving psychic pets. This is a good book for learning about and learning how to communicate with your pet. If done right, and with an open mind to start, this book does work, and after doing this you will never feel the same way about your pet again, which may only mean you have become closer to them than you were before. This is what happened to me anyway. This book was also one of two books that led to my writing of a story called "The Unseen Truth."
When I first picked this book up I wasn't sure I wanted to read it or not. I thought maybe because of the title and the graphics that maybe it was going to be "way out there". However, not the case at all!
I loved the book. It was full of heart-warming stories of animals & their owners. The exercises that are talked about in the book are similar to meditative methods used everywhere.
I picked this book up on a whim while my girlfriend was poking around a new age store. It was on the half price shelf so I figured I might give it a go. I thought perhaps it might give me some interesting perspectives on my pets' thought processes or at least entertain me. What else are books for if not entertainment.
This book's author tells us that all animals are indeed psychic. They are not only able to speak with their own species through telepathic communication, but speak to other creatures as well. This ability is not only found in mammals.
Richard Webster begins with what he feels are the main three species of animals in the lives of humans; cats, dogs, and horses. He gives numerous examples of people and these animals communicating through telepathy. Many examples include his personal experiences. Webster also discusses many times in the past in which these animals have demonstrated uncanny mental abilities that are beyond the realm of human understanding.
After covering horses, Webster goes on to discuss other animal types outside of the main three. He also gives examples of ghost interactions with animals and the ghosts of animals.
He ends the book with numerous exercises in which a person can become more open to their intuitive nature and build a psychic bond with animals.
This book started out as a very fast and easy read for me. That is before I hit the wall that was the horses section. Having little experience with horses, I began to lose interest in this area. Perhaps if I had more experiences with horses, I might not have felt this area was difficult to get through.
I was a bit disappointed in some examples used by the author. I felt the Webster simply ran out of things to discuss and really reached for stories to fit in with his philosophies and reasoning. Some things just did not appear to be as conclisive as he states.
I have tried to make psychic connections with a few animals while reading this book. I am a bit of a skeptic, but I try to remain open minded. I have seen animals behave in strange manners before. Who hasn't? Anyway, nothing yet. Nothing that makes me scream that all animals are psychic and that I have spoken to them in a telepathic manner anyway. Maybe I'll try some more or perhaps I'll just call this book entertaining and move on being a guy who isn't psychic.
This is a great book. It's entertaining and heartwarming. Because I like dogs the most, I found the section about dogs most interesting. There are some especially touching stories about the loyalty (psychic-ness) of pets. It made me realize there might be more to a pets make up than we give them credit for. I look at my dog a little bit differently now.
It's a fun book and would make a great gift for pet lovers.
