I received this book from Netgalley for my honest review.

I love Ms. van der Rol books!

She writes a good space adventures with interesting characters who don't waste time with angst or doubts! She goes strait for the jugular!

And here we have a proof of that!

The Stuff of Legend is eaxtly what the title implies: a search for a lost civilization, disguised as a search for disappered loved ones.

Both hero and the heroine are inetersting and they don't mince around their attraction, even if I had a feeling thet it was somewhat rushed. But then, the semxy times are not what Mr. van der Rol excells at!

It is the adventure that's the star here! And would have liked more in depth view of it!

Still, I enjoyed this book and will surely read other books by Ms. van der Rol!

This really didn't live up to the standard set by the other books in this series. It is almost completely isolated from those people and planets. The story and adventure are good, but the characters and their interactions are awkward to the point of jarring. Everyone was cardboard, fitting into stereotypical roles. There were few surprises and less satisfaction at the end.

Perhaps 3-stars is generous, but I do like this universe and I hope the author continues to explore it.

Great story

Like all the books in this series, this one has a intriguing plot with lots of suspense and action. The romance is sweet and does not overshadow the story. I have really enjoyed all of the Ptorix Empire books and look forward to any more this author writes

Exciting & Fun SF

In this novel the author introduces Olivia Jhutta and Jak Prentiss. This is a tale of complex families, the beginning of a love story, an archeological mystery, and naturally greed that captured my imagination. Great series.
