I was hoping that since the title stated The Science, that it would, in fact, be more scientific. It was not. Perhaps my expectations were too high. It read much more like a fluffy self help book than what I expected. It is a rather over simplified how to of how to apply cognitive behavior therapy skills to emotion management. I did find it to be much too simple to be useful. This might work for someone who has never been to therapy or has little insight into their own behaviors. A primer as such but does not offer much to someone with some insight into their own behaviors.

This book wasn't as science-focused as I was hoping for; it read more like a self-help book. I was reading it for a work project, so the science part is what I was really looking for.

It also couldn't cover things in much depth because it covered so many different things. Still, it had a few interesting ideas.

Very dense with some great advice but I didn't like it quite as much as The Science Of Self-Discipline.

I like the tempo of the book, advice ratio vs. science information, recommend to all those that like to overcome an adversity and learn how to be resilient:

Very verbose

Would appreciate, it y f the author would get to the point instead of littering the book with mini stories
